Breath taking mountain peaks are encountered throughout the duration of the day, cascading waterfalls, where weather permitting, guest can enjoy a refreshing splash in the crystal clear waters, fresh water lakes in the middle of nowhere. We stop at a family restaurant where you can enjoy a traditional Cypriot meze, in a beautiful mountain village. Last but not least, no day would be complete without a visit to a local winery. A lot of driving in uncomfortable jeep. Most of the trip is stuck in the back hunched over. Not really a "safari". Visited some pleasant enough nature places for a short time and some photos. Visit to restaurant. Okay, but better if you hire a car and explore yourself.
A truly amazing day out! The views are spectacular, and we had no idea these beautiful mountains held such hidden treasures. We had a great group with us, which made the atmosphere even better, but the real magic of the day was our amazing (and wonderfully crazy) driver, Tony. He’s incredibly passionate about his island, and his knowledge of the areas, locals, and roads is seriously impressive. The pit stops were perfectly timed, and Tony showed constant consideration for his passengers along the way. We also had an awesome time at the winery—and even managed to remind our host of his dear friend, Dan! We felt welcome, safe, and comfortable from pick-up to drop-off. Cyprus has so much to offer, and this day was unforgettable. There’s still so much more to see, so we’ll definitely be booking again when we return next year. Thank you Trackers, and thank you Tony—what a legend!
★☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing experience with this Troodos Jeep Safari. The tour used a non-open-top Land Rover carrying nine passengers, and I was placed in the very back of the vehicle in what was essentially the luggage/trunk area. On the winding mountain roads, I became extremely car sick, to the point where I was shaking and unable to continue the tour. The most upsetting part was what happened afterwards. I had to leave the excursion early due to my condition, but the driver stated that he could not take me back to Larnaca. Apart from offering to call a taxi, no assistance was provided. I was left to make my own way back to my hotel, taking three separate buses while still feeling ill. At no point before the excursion was I informed that passengers could be seated in the rear luggage area of the vehicle. I believe customers should be clearly informed of the seating arrangements and should expect better support if they become unwell during a tour. To make matters worse, despite the circumstances and the fact that I was unable to complete the excursion because I became seriously unwell, no refund or compensation was offered. This experience caused unnecessary stress, discomfort, and inconvenience and fell far below my expectations for an excursion booked through a major platform. I cannot recommend this tour based on my experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you felt unwell during the excursion and that you were unable to complete the tour. We understand that this was an unpleasant experience for you. However, we would like to clarify several points regarding your review. Firstly, open-top jeeps are not permitted for commercial passenger transport in Cyprus. All licensed safari vehicles must comply with local transport regulations and safety requirements. The Land Rover used for your excursion is a fully licensed safari vehicle that meets all legal requirements for passenger transport. Secondly, the vehicle was not overcrowded. The Land Rover is licensed and insured to carry up to 9 passengers plus 1 driver. On the day of your excursion, the vehicle was operating within its permitted capacity. The seat you occupied was an approved passenger seat forming part of the vehicle's licensed seating configuration and was not a luggage-only area. The Troodos Jeep Safari is a full-day mountain safari that involves travelling on winding mountain roads and off-road routes. Unfortunately, some guests may experience motion sickness due to the nature of the terrain and road conditions. While we sympathise with your situation, this is not the result of a fault with the vehicle, the driver, or the operation of the excursion. When you informed the driver that you were feeling unwell, assistance was offered, including arranging a taxi to return you directly to your accommodation. As the excursion was carrying other guests and operating on a scheduled route, it was not possible for the driver to abandon the tour and drive separately back to Larnaca. We understand that you chose not to accept the taxi option that was offered. Regarding your request for a refund, we are unable to offer compensation as the excursion was provided as booked, the vehicle and seating arrangements complied with all licensing requirements, and the tour proceeded as advertised. While we regret that you became unwell and were unable to continue, this was not due to any failure on the part of the excursion provider. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. Kind regards
All the places we visited on this trip were beautiful and I'm really glad we got to see them. Unfortunately for us & another couple in the same group, who were physically sick at the last stop, it was ruined by the driver, who drove like a lunatic for the whole time, doing up to 140kmph in 100 limits on the motorway in what was a very beaten up land rover.
Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the places visited during the tour. We're sorry that the journey did not meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to share your comments.
We were picked up at our hotel ordessa pratoras .It was bumpy as you will expect with an off road vehicle don't expect a smooth ride .fun fun all the way.met some lovely people on this trip 9 of the best Tony showed us aĺl the sights we could never of got to on our own.10 out of 10 for driver Tony lovely guy
Yay!!! Thank you for a wonderful review. So happy you experienced our Troodos excursion and that you found it ticked all your boxes. Antonis is great. Once again Thank you!!! Enjoy the rest of your time here in Cyprus.
Nice day trip! We booked spontaneously, and the pick-up was punctual right at the hotel with the Jeep. Plus: He made many more stops than described in the overview. In the Jeep, it is okay to be comfortable, but on the off-road tracks, you get shaken up quite a bit :) Our driver Kleo was very friendly, had everything well under control, and kept an eye on the time. Also very positive: no one is pressured to buy or consume anything anywhere. A personal highlight was the visit to the winery - brief and pleasant!
Thank you so much - We at Trackers are very happy that we were able to make the excursion filled woth history and fullfilled our job to make the your excursion a great and memorable one. Thanks for the review
Was a good trip, not very much off-road, but what we expected due to the track. Selection of sights was also good. Chauffeur has driven very well.
Thanks for such a lovely review
Absolutely amazing and magical experience with many nice stops. We had a very knowledgeable and safe guide who safely and jokingly brought us on the roads and off road.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a fun. It’s great to know that you enjoyed both the adventure and the beautiful sights, and that your driver made the experience even more special. We truly appreciate your review and hope to welcome you again for another adventure soon!
Really good fun and great to see a different part of cyprus. Our driver Pedro was really lovely and told us lots about the history of cyprus and the villages we travelled though. There were lots of stops along the way ans we got to see some beatufiul areas.
Thanks for such an amazing review Stay well See you again some time for another experience
AVOID is the only way I can describe it I booked this jeep trip with a shop called Titanas, Protaras. I was told by the shop the jeep holds 8 people plus the driver but when my jeep arrived there were 9 people plus the driver making 10. We were all cramped, very uncomfortable and with paying 80 euro for this trip, I was very disappointed. The driver said we'd swap places however some people were treated favourably with always seated at the front. We were the only jeep 1 of 3 which had to stop for a break for us to stretch our legs as the group were very uncomfortable. I told the driver i was going to complain, which he just shrugged his shoulders. The driver is reckless and I'll never ever be in a vehicle with him again, scared for my life, especially when he drove while using his phone, making him loose concentration. He drove far too fast, he drove it like he stole it!!! I contacted the company to complain, they refused to issue a refund, even though it was not what I paid for and to be told they got rid of another driver due to his driving makes me think the company has a serious problem with the drivers driving reckless!! If I can with this review help someone/families think before they book with this company it was worth it, even the shop where i booked it were useless. Places were lovely to see but if you want to be cramped in the back of a jeep for hours and be scared for your life go ahead, personally ill never do it again. The only thing this company is interested in is filling a jeep to the max and getting the money!!
Hi there Thanks for your feedback — sounds like you got the premium adrenaline edition of the tour! We promise, Cyprus looks just as beautiful at normal speed too. We’re glad you enjoyed the sights, and we’ll definitely review your comments with our team without using our phones while doing it. However we do not recall ever having a conversation with anyone regarding nor discussing our drivers driving style. Regards
