Leaving behind Tromsø we will travel across the beautiful bridge that links Tromsø with Kvaløya, here urban life vanishes transforming into wild Arctic landscapes. The road takes you through dramatic mountains, scenic fjords and tranquil coastal villages. You can also observe wildlife such as agules, reindeer or elk that roam freely in this area.

As you approach Sommarøy, the landscape becomes almost surreal. The earth opens up to reveal white coral beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters and scattered islands stretching towards the horizon. Here, authentic fishing villages meet unspoilt nature, creating a rare mix of culture and serenity. Your guide will help you capture the magic, both with your own camera and by taking professional-quality photos for you along the way. Keep your eyes open for sightings of Arctic wildlife along the way: reindeer often roam freely, and sea eagles can be seen gliding high above the fjords.In a specially selected scenic spot, pause for traditional Norwegian food and hot drinks – the perfect time to relax, replenish and try an Arctic bath.
After the visit to Sommerøya we will return to Tromsø enjoying the landscapes and memories that we will take marked of our Arctic experience.

This was an amazing way to spend our day on shore. David was an exceptional tour guide and the scenery was spectacular. We were lucky to be blessed with a sunny day. I highly recommend this excursion.
Our guide and driver was Rajad from Arora 7. Rajad was punctual and actively looking for customer's who have signed up for the tour. Rajad was very knowledgeable of the various points of sightseeing and managed to stop for quick photo opps, and we did see the rein deers at the end of our journey. Rajad was very friendly and courteous as well. One point to take note of was that the pick up point shown on the reminder email that was sent to us on the day of the tour was different from the pick up info that was shown when we first book the tour. The pick up point information from the reminder email on the day of the tour was kind of misleading.
Our guide did a great job of making the trip a rewarding experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
While we saw many beautiful places, our guide did not keep to the timeline. A 4.5 hour trip was 6.5 hours causing us to miss time in town and the $40 we had paid for a shuttle from town back to the ship. Some stops were redundant and could have been skipped to meet the 4.5 hours. Also, “lunch” is a small bowl of soup and a wafer. Scenery was lovely but the trip was frustrating.
Good afternoon and thank you for contacting us. We are very sorry to hear about your experience with lunch and the arrival time at Breivika Port. We spoke with the tour guide, who informed us that he asked the passengers if they were happy to make extra stops. The passengers, including yourselves, replied that as long as we returned to the cruise ship on time, there would be no problem. (The cruise ship's departure time was 6:25 PM.) At the end of the tour, the guide drove to the city of Tromsø first, where some cruise ship passengers stayed to explore the city, along with other passengers. The guide with the rest of the cruise ships passengers arrived back at Breivika Port at 4:13 PM. The scenery was amazing. We would have liked to have had more information about the places and people in Tromsø from our guide. He answered questions, but did not provide much information on his own.
This tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Jared, was knowledgeable and very personable and professional! He also took incredible pictures and videos of my wife and I at various locations that we will cherish from our time in Norway! It was a very relaxed and enjoyable tour! Highly recommended!!

Gerardo our tour guide was wonderful, he had ample knowledge and experience to guide us through the Norway fjords experience. Lunch was provided in a nice warm cabin, nice soup and few sweet snacks. Would definitely recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
My group and I organised two tours with Aurora 7. We had nothing but the best experience. We highly recommend the full day tour to Kvaloya and Sommaroy. The day was adjusted to our needs, we had plenty of time at all stops and Gerardo was a wonderful guide. We were more than satisifed with the day and decided to book a 2nd tour last minute. We booked the Aurora Borealis night tour and they made sure that we pick the best opportunity to see the lights. My group was thrilled when they finally got to see the Northern Lights. I would recommend Aurora 7 to anyone!
