Take a guided tour at the Basque Cider Museum to learn about the importance of cider in the Basque Country. Visit a Basque Cider House Farm and enjoy the traditional cider house menu paired with cider with a local. We will drive towards the village of Astigarraga, famous for its farmhouses and cider tradition, and enjoy the typical Cider House menu consisting of: cod omelet, fried cod with green peppers and onions, “Txuleta”: bone-in rib-eye steak, Idiazabal cheese with quince and walnuts, and self-serve cider.

After pick-up from your accommodation in San Sebastian, we will drive towards the town of Astigarraga, home to the greatest number of Basque Cider Houses. We will visit and take a hands-on guided tour at the Basque Cider Museum. In a pleasant visit of less than an hour, you will learn all the insights of this rooted drink in the Basque Country. You will also have time to learn how to pour a glass of cider straight from the barrel!
Time for your hearty lunch/dinner! We will head to the village of Astigarraga to visit and dine in a Traditional Basque Cider House. You will delight your taste buds with a traditional basque cider house menu meal paired with free flowing cider straight from the barrels, while learning everything there is to learn about this very Basque experience.
