Tour to Grutas de Rancho Nuevo and El Arcotete Ecotourism Park
Description
After the pick up, we will go to the Grutas de Rancho Nuevo where we will walk to appreciate inside a beautiful proliferation of stalactites and stalagmites that expands in the background until it becomes a room. Approximate time 1:30 hours. El Arcotete, a natural formation where some impressive caverns located on the roof of the arch were exposed, its walls measure up to 40 m high, an approximate time of 1 hour. We return at approximately 3:00 p.m. to San Cristobal de Las Casas.

The Grutas de Rancho Nuevo Ecotourism Park is a natural space located 15 kilometers from the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas. The most important thing in this space are some caves inside the mountain. But in addition to this attraction, Rancho Nuevo has other tourist attractions, such as a large space where you can walk in nature, the possibility of horseback riding, a very long slippery slope, where the little ones in the family can enjoy, and a great variety of places to eat, especially chorizo quesadillas (specialty of the place).
One of the most hidden tourist places in San Cristóbal de las Casas is the Arcotete. This impressive natural stone arch owes its name to the incredible limestone rock structures with stalactites ideal for rock climbing. The place has more than 2 medium grade rock climbing routes. There is also a camping area and horse and bicycle tours.
