It was the most incredible experience my husband and I have ever had. Primarily because of the heart and soul that our tour guide Amira and Abdulrahman placed into making our 12 hour experience magical. Amirah, who is a Montessori certified tour guide provided historical accounts of the pyramids and the museum. We ended our tour with a boat ride through the Nile river. It was truly an off the charts experience. I highly recommend this tour. Specially with Amirah and Abdulrahman as they are fantastic. They moved us quickly through crowds at the pyramids and museum. They translated any question we had for the camel ride and for the guided tour in general. BEST Tour Ever! 5 Star Review.
Tour of Giza pyramids and Saqqara complex. Amr was an incredible guide and storyteller. We spent the day touring with him, both learning and laughing with him and enjoying these beautiful sites. Having just finished the tour with him we feel we have gained a new friend and hope to see him on another tour of beautiful Egypt.
Day trip booked with Ancient Egypt tour. The taxi was waiting as agreed and took us safely to the pyramids, where the guide was waiting who went everywhere with us all day. Everything was arranged as described. We had a very nice day.
Our driver was punctual and friendly. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our day very very much.
Go to giza, see the pyramids and get a guide. No question. It is incredible and should not be missed. Our guide was not great, she did not volunteer information without us asking. Luckily I had been there before so was able to fill in some detail for the kids. At the pyramids she thought we would be more interested in a camel ride than going into the pyramid, not even presenting entry as an option and arguing with us when we said we wanted to go in, trying to tell us it was too late. Then took us to some tourist trap sales pitch venues (papyrus, perfume, etc). We would have rather spent more time at the museum, had more history of the ancient religion, interesting facts, etc. At the end of the day: Must see sights, hopefully you have a better guide.
This tour was a once in a life time great experience. Our driver, Heba Soudy was fantastic maneuvering around and getting us to and from Giza safely. Our Tour guide, George was the best he was so knowledgeable about the history of Egypt. I learned so much. He got us a camel ride which I will never forget. Later on we asked him to find us a good Egyptian restaurant where we could share lunch. George called ahead and placed an order for such a delicious variety of foods for us to savor. My Sister and I Thank you for such a memorable experience in Egypt.
Bring toilet paper and cash for public bathrooms. The bathroom attendant provides toilet paper and maintains the bathroom. Tips are expected even when the sign reads tips optional. This is a perfect itinerary for a day trip from Alexandria. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo was our first stop. Mohamed, our tour guide, took us through the museum and highlighted the must see artifacts. Then, we spent an hour on our own soaking in the history. Note: visitors may not take pictures in the King Tut wing. Enroute to Giza, we stopped to view a papyrus paper demonstration. Fascinating process. I learned the papyrus stem is shaped like a triangle. The Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx were simply breathtaking. I stood in awe of the engineering and construction feats performed by workers over 2500 years ago. I would love to come back and have Mohamed provide a multi-day tour of Luxor and Aswan.
Terrible Experience – SCAM Alert! I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this tour agency booked through Viator. They took my money and promised a VIP tour at the Pyramids, a camel ride, and lunch at a restaurant. None of that happened. After I paid, they completely ghosted me—no confirmation, no guide showed up, no response to my messages or calls. I waited for hours, and they never contacted me again. I felt scammed and helpless, especially as a traveller trusting a well-known platform like Viator. Do NOT trust this agency. Viator needs to better vet who they allow on their platform. I want my money back and will never book with them again.
Good evening: We do not have any tours that include camel rides, and all tours do not include lunch except for the overnight stay. 1- The booking confirmation will be sent to you directly through Viator. 2- You didn't book with us. I think you booked with a booking coordinator, not with us.
Wallid & Momen were our tour guides. Momen was our driver and was excellent. Wallid was our expert at the pyramids and the museum. He was full of knowledge and we had an enjoyable tour.
We had an amazing driver and tour guide. We came in Alexandria port on a cruise ship, and so we had a pretty tight itinerary. The logistics could be better as far as explaining the pick up location, we had to ask several people at 6 am in an Arabic speaking country where to find our tour ( you had to leave the main pick up area walk across a bridge and go outside of a gate (sign out with police) and then wait there), but eventually got it sorted out. Then I had to call a couple times and finally a co-worker of our driver got us set up. Unfortunately no one in our party spoke Arabic and the driver very little English, but he was very sweet and a safe driver, and we have google Fi phones so we used google translate when needed. He got us to and from Cairo like a professional driver, even in Cairo was quick to get us to and from sites, it felt like being in a GTA game, but our driver had a grace with navigating everything. We picked up our guide in Cairo (there was a bit of delay with this), where as others I think with this tour company had their guide drive with them from Alexandria. Our guide was hilarious (spoke excellent English), and very informative and able to cater to what our specific party was interested in seeing for the private tour. Our driver was receptive to me telling him to get us back quickly and safely to our port ( in the end they held up the ship for all the tour buses). I would recommend for these tours having some tenacity and google translate and a phone that works internationally, after that its a amazing adventure waiting for you.
