Already ready rated this tour and I happily accepted your offer of a full refund. I saw the credit on my back card statement.
Thank you for your message – we're glad to hear the refund has reached you.
We signed up for the tram tour and arrived ahead of time. We checked in with the tour guide on our arrival, however, when the tram pulled up we were told that we had to stand for the hour ride and would not have seats. We had two elderly individuals in our party and their ability to stand for that length of time was not possible. It created a safety issue for them. We told the operator that we could not stand for that period of time and they said that it was that or nothing. No alternatives were offered. We requested an online refund and they denied the refund. Be very careful if you book this trolley!! It was our one bad experience during our two weekend tour in Europe.
'm really sorry to hear about your experience with the tram tour. It sounds frustrating, especially with elderly individuals in your group who needed seating for safety and comfort. It’s disappointing that the operator didn’t offer any alternatives or accommodations. Have you considered reaching out to customer service again, perhaps escalating the issue? Sometimes speaking to a supervisor can lead to a different outcome. It’s important for companies to be aware of such feedback, so they can improve their services in the future. I hope the rest of your trip went smoothly!
The tour was horrible. I paid for live commentary and headphones. Myself and 2 guests recieved neither. I have lived in Basel for 15 years and had 2 guests visiting. The tram did not pass by Spalentur, one of the most beautiful points in Basel. We were mostly on the outskirts of Basel. Too much time spent in Klein Basel seeing the drug addicts and prostitutes. Such a waste of 50minutes and money. The company promises something that you do NOT get.
We sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience you had on our tour. We regret that you did not receive the live commentary and headphones that were promised. Additionally, we understand your frustration with the tour route and the time spent in areas that did not showcase the best of Basel. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will address these issues to ensure that our tours meet the high standards we promise. Please accept our apologies and for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Barbara was amazing, we were lucky that we were the only 2 on the tram so we had a personal tour. The tour takes you all through the city and gives a fantastic overview of the history of the city and Switzerland. Highly recommended.
Great way to meet Basel from another side. If I am interested in old iron taps or trams in addition to the city, this trip is a MUST

A bit noisy, uncomfortable seats, and very uncomfortable headphones but a ball nonetheless. It was clear as our driver and guide took us around the city that many people had not seen the vintage tram before with many people stopping to watch the tram and point it out to others.

The information was very helpful and because you're on a tram you can cover a lot more ground than during a walking tour--but you do lose a lot of the detail because of the distance being travelled and the speed at which you have to keep moving. However, a good overall view of old-town Basel and a good starting point for our explorations of the city over the following few days.

When we had completed the tram ride I had several people come up and ask me where they could sign-up and I had to explain that the rides are only offered twice a week on Sunday morning and midday. But if you're in Basel on a Sunday and have the time, it is a very worthwhile investment of your time. Have Fun.

Relaxing way to see and learn about the city. Very interesting and informative.

Great historical perspective of Basel. Experience on vintage tram in operation was also very fun and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Basel for the first time.
