Tour of Venice between Art, History, Legend and Secrets

Description
You will live an experience considered unique by anyone so far. A Venetian lives it every day but without stopping where we would to discover treasures that most tourists will never see. We will discover secrets and see beautiful and hidden places for example the House where Marco Polo was born or the Marian Sanctuary of S. Giovanni Crisostomo with priceless works by Giovanni Bellini and Tullio Lombardo Churches with instruments in common use today such as the cello but invented in Venice. Naturally, Rialto and S. Marco will not be missing but you will be very impressed by what you will discover with my tour. In Venice women were emancipated and already in the year 1000 AD they were voting and for this reason they became famous from that moment on. And let's not forget libertine Venice. Stories of magic, witches and ghosts. I don't want to reveal too much but I will surprise you with an experience that will push you to appreciate this unique city of Venice even more.

Itinerary
We will see one of the most beautiful bridges in the world which legend has it was built with the help of the Devil himself.
An ancient church built by the architect Codiussi with the financial contribution of Marco Polo's family. Inside we will see priceless works by Giovanni Bellini and above all Tullio Lombardo.
We will visit the house where the explorer Marco Polo was born and where he lived until he was about 12 years old, then with his father Niccolò and his uncle Matteo to leave for Katai and on his final return he chose to end his life in Corte del Milione where we will go to visit his second home.
Here we will see one of the largest fields in Venice and one of the most culturally important centers. Here there was an important episode which was the cause of the War against Padua.
This Church is unique both for the richness of the gold works and for the three masters who painted there, namely Veronese with Giovanni Bellini and Palma il Giovane.
Unique and indescribable, this square will be our final walk where you can admire the Basilica and the Bell Tower but also the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. To conclude the tour at the Prison Palace.

The tour guide never showed up! It wasted part of our day and now we’re trying to get a refund. I tried messaging through the Viator app but never got a reply. I finally found a phone number and reached the tour operator.
Super lame. Got notices all day telling me about my appointment showed up 15 minutes ahead of time and nobody showed up for 45 minutes.
We showed up at the meeting point 10 minutes early and saw a tour group, so we approached. We were rudely told that the group was full, and we must be looking for some other tour. We never saw another guide at the meeting point, although we waited more than half an hour. I don't know if that was supposed to be our guide or not, but if it was, he didn't let us join, and if it wasn't, then no guide ever showed up. Either way, we did not get our art & history tour of Venice.
Alessandro was great! His art historian perspective was wonderful to me, as I studied art history in college. His knowledge went beyond what I learned in school. He was entertaining and enjoyable to be with. The tour took 3 hours, which was longer than we expected. There is no place to sit down in Venice!
Thanks a lot when my Guests are as you the tour Is a big pleasure
Alessandro was fantastic, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the things he showed up, a lot of which were off the beaten track. Very welcoming and a pleasure to spend time with. Thank you Alessandro and Happy Birthday again!

Tripadvisor is appalling! No fault of the tour guide, but Trip Advisor hadn't told him of our booking! He came asap, but TA hung up on his calls requesting a refund for us. This is the 2nd time this trip we've made bookings through TA and they've failed to notify restaurant/ tour guide. Never using them again!!
