The visit to San Antonio Palopó is to discover a magical corner of Lake Atitlán, where tradition and landscape come together to give unforgettable moments. Upon arrival, the passenger will come across a picturesque village of steep streets that descend to the shore of the lake, surrounded by mountains and volcanoes that frame a dream setting. The tour begins at the Church of San Antonio de Padua, a colonial temple that keeps centuries of history and is the spiritual heart of the community. The visit also includes fabric workshops, where women from the community make typical costumes with a predominance of the color blue, symbol of San Antonio Palopó. This tour was so much cooler than I thought it was going to be. The weather was wonderful, crossing the river and seeing the 3 volcanoes was so cool, and all the art in the towns were amazing. If you’re thinking about booking this tour do it.
