Itinerary
one of the most emblematic places in Marseille. It is the natural meeting place for all Marseilles residents and visitors. This is where you can feel the atmosphere of Marseille, between the fish market and the excitement of the city centre.
It is one of Marseille's emblems because the Cathedral of the Major is unique and represents all the power of the city. It is the only cathedral built in France in the 19th century. Its spectacular dimensions are similar to those of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, which allows it to receive up to 3,000 people! This excessiveness was intended to show the power of the Phocaean city, visible from the sea.
The oldest district of Marseille is also one of the most visited. Located in city's historic center, a stone's throw from the Old Port, it is a perpetual reminder of the eventful history of the ancient Massalia (Marseille)
The Cours Julien is "the Hipster District", the one that will allow you to shop while enjoying the peace and quiet! This district is the largest district in France dedicated to street art. Let yourself be seduced by the streets of this colourful area. It is a real neighbourhood spirit, an atmosphere that we appreciate, very atypical, especially when we come across the famous local markets: the market of the plain, the farmers' market, the creators' market, the organic market, etc.
If it were necessary to present Notre Dame de la Garde in a few words, it would be: more than 800 years of pilgrimage, 157 metres high, a breathtaking view of the entire Phocaean city and the symbol of an entire city.
On the Corniche Kennedy, below the road, is the beach of the Prophet, one of the oldest beaches in Marseille and one of the most popular.Crowded in the summer, it is a joy for both young and old people.
Drive along the corniche John Kennedy with beautiful views along the Frioul islands and Castle d'if.
Nestled between two cliffs, facing the sea, the Vallon des Auffes offers the impression that time stopped at Marcel Pagnol's time. It is one of the most emblematic places in Marseille. Unique, authentic, picturesque site, there are many adjectives to describe this small peaceful haven so close and so far away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. It is here that you will find one of the most beautiful settings to eat in a restaurant in Marseille.

It was great to cruise through Marseille with our guide Alex and his 50 year old 2CV convertible "Brigitte". Highly recommended!!
Awesome experience and would do it again!
The little car is very cool and Alex is a great guide. He is very knowledgeable and speaks perfect English. We learned a lot about Marseille and saw some fantastic places. Highly recommended!
What a great day with Alex, very informative, very fun way to see the city and all the beautiful sights! Highly recommend!
Driver canceled his tour last minute leaving us stranded. Luckily we found someone else last minute who proved very reliable
Hi Lia, We’re truly sorry again for the unexpected cancellation. Unfortunately, we experienced a sudden brake issue with the car, and for safety reasons, we couldn’t operate the tour that day. We immediately informed you, offered to reschedule, and processed a full refund. Safety always comes first for us, and we hope you were still able to enjoy your time in Marseille despite our tour cancellation.
We had a great time in this half day tour off of our cruise ship. Edi picked us up at the terminal so it was very convenient. He’s very knowledgeable of the city and we were the hit of the town (because of the vintage Citroen) everywhere we went drawing smiles , waves and thumbs up throughout the city. He took us down the coast to a fisherman’s village and the scenery was breathtaking. This is a great way to see Marseilles on a short schedule and is highly recommended.
Eddie our driver for the tour of Marseille was wonderful. He drove us to places that a bus or van could not. It was a real treat driving around and seeing all of the wonderful sights in this 51 year old Citroen. 🚙 Lots of beautiful photo opportunities given and some 📸breathtaking views shown. 🎑 I would definitely recommend this tour. 💕 Thank you Eddie for making our daughter’s 21st Birthday 🎁 so memorable. 🙏
This tour is a must. If it was possible to rate at 10 stars, I would. Our guide Edi was amazing. He was very knowledgable, funny and a considerate driver. I felt we not only saw the city but understood its evolution. Oh, and the car just made it all the more special. A great day.
My two daughters and I really enjoyed the excursion in Citroën BJ 1944 through Marsaile and surroundings (Cassis and Calanque National Park). The driver/tour guide was extremely friendly, helpful and also included individual interests during the tour. During the trip there were interesting conversations (in English) and I got a great insight into life in Marsaille in a "private atmosphere". Photo stops were also possible at any time. Value for money was also right for me as guided group excursions for three people often cost the same. We definitely come back home with many beautiful and fascinating memories.
