Description
Gotsezhy, which in Spanish means “Reborn”, is a Wiwa indigenous refuge located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. This excursion consists of a trek to said refuge, where you can enjoy the best preserved landscapes, you will have the opportunity to explore rivers and completely disconnect from the outside world, you will be able to better understand their worldview and beliefs, through multiple activities, but above all the importance of ethnic and cultural diversity. The indigenous refuge also has an access that allows you to discover the majestic natural pool of the "Matuna" (El Encanto) waterfall, where you can take a bath in its refreshing waters, after only approximately 15 minutes of walking.

Itinerary
7:00 am. Departure from Santa Marta in a 4x4 vehicle, bound for the village of San Martin. 8:30 a.m. arrival at the peasant community of San Martin. 10:00 a.m. (approx) Arrival at the Wiwa town "Gotsezhy", there you will live an experience of cultural exchange with the community. 12:00 p.m. Ecological walk for approximately 5 minutes until you reach a sacred place, where you will have the opportunity to have a spiritual encounter with the indigenous Mamo of the tribe, who is the highest authority of the town. (exchange of knowledge). 12:30 p.m. The typical lunch of the region will be taken, prepared by Wiwa indigenous hands. 1:30 p.m. We start hiking for approximately 20 minutes to a natural pool called "El Encanto", a place to which the ancestors attribute purifying properties, there you can enjoy a refreshing swim. 3:00 pm. We begin our return to the city of Santa Marta.
