Itinerary

Admission included330 min

Cinque Terre are five coastal villages in eastern Liguria that make up a UNESCO World Heritage site! Here, a train links the five different villages together. A small group tour with a max of 8 people is the perfect solution for those who want to keep the costs down and at the same time touch as many destinations as possible without being in a 54-seat bus. Your driver will be with you for the entire day. He will escort you on the boat, trail and train. - Public boats operate subject to weather conditions and along the Cinque Terre from April until about the 3rd week of October.

Admission included30 min

Arrive at Manarola by black mercedes minivan and from there you will take the boat to Monterosso al Mare.Manarola may be the oldest of the towns in the Cinque Terre, with the cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dating from 1338. The local dialect is Manarolese, which is marginally different from the dialects in the nearby area. The name "Manarola" is probably a dialectical evolution of the Latin, "magna rota". In the Manarolese dialect this was changed to "magna roea" which means "large wheel", in reference to the mill wheel in the town.

Admission included60 min

Monterosso al Mare, a small village with a population of about 1500 soul, this is the largest village! Stone steps link the village center to the port and seaside promenade. Monterosso al Mare is surrounded by hills bedecked in vineyards and olive groves. Thursday is market day: displaying local arts and crafts, food, and wine. Be sure to see the Twelfth Century Church of St. Francis, built in the Ligurian Gothic style, which includes black and white marbles.

Admission not included120 min

From Monterosso al Mare you can hike to Vernazza (120 minutes), or take the train instead enjoying just a 5 minutes ride. To hike in the footpath there is a tickets to pay on your own onsite. If you decide to hike you will have just 10 minutes to spend in Monterosso al Mare. These ancient trails are rough but manageable. Be prepared for the hiking – although the path is open to everyone, remember that the ground can be slippery, uneven, and in places steep and narrow. The charm of the area is that it is natural and unspoiled; do not expect handrails or safety rails when steps are steep or when the path is close to the cliff edge. The driver will follow the small group by train.

Admission included60 min

Vernazza is the only natural port of the five villages. Being the wealthiest village its architecture is most elaborate. In Vernazza we can have a cooling swim in the sea, a nice shower and we can enjoy a delicious lunch made of uthentic Pesto Pasta and fresh Mediterrean seafood (not included in the price). Train from Vernazza to Manarola and back on the Black Mercedes minivan on the way to Florence with a quick stop to see Pisa Leaning tower. Please note: - Public boats operate subject to weather conditions and along the Cinque Terre from April until about the 3rd week of October. - The driver/guide will thoroughly introduce the places being visited, from a cultural, historical and artistic viewpoint while walking or driving to and through them, but is not licensed to give in depth explanations at sights or guide inside churches, or museums.

Admission included40 min

Continue to Pisa. Free time to see the Leaning Tower and walk around Piazza dei Miracoli to see its other celebrated monuments: Pisa Baptistery, Pisa Duomo. During the hour-long visit, you’ll also discover Piazza dei Cavalieri, home to the historic university Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. The tour will reach the Pisa tower at around 16:30. Usually it is enough to look at it from the outside, it is beautiful. However if you want to reserve your own tickets to climb it, you can do it choosing 16:45 as the time. Entrance Leaning tower's tickets are not not included. Back on our black Mercedes Minivan on the way to Florence.

A Dream Getaway Made Possible by a Dream Guide

We visited Florence late April / early May. We took an Uber from the airport to our hotel and like an angel sculpted by MichaelAngelo himself, Claudius picked us up. His knowledge of the Florence and the entire region is unparalleled. We had an instant connection with him like we were friends our entire lives. He helped plan out itinerary for the three days in town and made the arrangements for our private tour of Pisa and Cinque Terra. As luck would have it, he was our driver for that too. Very easy drive from Florence to Pisa with Claudius teaching us the entire way about the region’s cultural, culinary and historical significance. Pisa was amazing. Climbed the tower and toured the churches. If you are pressed for time just take a few photos and have a coffee in the piazza. The rest of the drive was equally beautiful and Cinque Terra is an amazing little town, perfect for walking, biking and getting lost in the streets. Every turn led to another hidden gem of a restaurant, cafe, artisan shop, historic church, etc. Our entire trip and especially our private excursion would not have been nearly as memorable without Claudius as our guide. If you are ever in Florence, keep calling Ubers until he shows up or ask for him by name when booking tours through Truescany. You will not regret it.

Wonderful guide experience!

We were fortunate enough to have Lapo guide us thru Cinque Terre and Pisa. He helped us navigate the busy trains and making sure we made the most of our visit. He pointed us to an amazing spot for lunch and showed us the quiet side of the towns as well. It was the perfect mix of guidance and time to explore on our own. Most of all it was great conversation and we truly enjoyed getting to know Lapo! His English skills were great, and it was a pleasure spending the day with him.

Great tour with Claudius!

Claudius was amazing from start to finish! Very knowledgeable, very engaging and so friendly. He was on time for tour and so welcoming. He even took an interest in our two 19 and 21 yr old girls and asked them questions and engaged them the entire time. Loved him so much we booked another tour for the next day!

Magical

My sone and I recently took a small group tour to Cinque Terre with Diana as our guide, and it was absolutely magical. The scenery was breathtaking—colorful villages, dramatic cliffs, and stunning sea views at every turn. Be prepared for lots of steps, but every climb was worth it. Our group was such a lovely mix of people, and Diana made the experience even more special with her warmth, knowledge, and care. Highly recommended!

Excellent efficient experience!!!

Frankie, our tour guide made it amazing. He picked us up on time. We were early for everything giving us adequate time to experience all the places. He gave his tips which were ALL spot on! I wish we had met him earlier because we could have tried more of his places. The trip was great and I’d use Truescany anytime.

Unforgettable experience, definitely worth it!!

Our family spent a week in Italy, and we split our time in Rome, Florence, and Venice. We wanted to squeeze in as much as we could in our limited time, and this tour was perfect for us. The kids really wanted to swim, so a trip to Cinque Terre (popularized from the movie Luca) was ideal. We were pleased to see that we could squeeze in a trip to Pisa to see the leaning tower as well. Above all else, our tour guide Alberto was PHENOMENAL! He was pleasant, informative, and professional, and he did an incredible job keeping us on schedule (which for our family isn't easy). We are very glad we did this tour and were very fortunate to have had Alberto as a guide. Highly recommend.
