Itinerary
Join us for this 3-hour long food tour across the famous "Ville Rose", the pink town: Toulouse! You will have a full meal in at least 4 stops. All food included! Please, bear in mind that the tastings here described may change according to the season and the availabilities of our partners.
Let's start your culinary journey in Place Saint-Etienne, where you will have a view on the Toulouse Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece that combines Romanesque and Gothic elements. Nearby, in a local shop, you will try one of the most luxurious French delicacies: foie gras! It’s made with the duck meat and it has a rich and buttery flavour. Although worldwide famous, it's in Toulouse that you’ll eat the best one.
Discover a rotating selection of the finest local cheeses, handpicked by expert vendors, as you immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Toulouse’s historic covered market, named after Victor Hugo, probably the most famous French writer and a true icon of French literature.
Let's continue with a hearty main dish that will warm your heart, beloved in South-Western France: the Aligot Sausage. A creamy mixture made with potatoes, tome fraîche (a local cheese), cream, butter, garlic and a grilled sausage. You will try it in a local restaurant in the old town. Simply unmissable!
Toulouse is famous for a very particular dessert: the violet! A much less renowned Toulouse specialty, but it is so much loved by the locals. Candies, cakes, tea or even cocktails… The Toulouse people put the violet everywhere!
You will end your food journey in the main square of Toulouse, surrounded by stunning historical building like tge Capitol - the city hall - and the Opera theatre. Nearby, in a local chocolaterie, you will eat some delicious flavored pralines. It’s a sweet treat to balance the savory dishes.

Mike was fantastic; we were fortunate to have had a private tour. He was patient with our questions and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious, especially the alight and the chocolate!
Michael was a fantastic guide who is very passionate about the areas we toured and the food we tried. He chatted as we walked and pointed out places of interest. Rhe food we tried was delicious.
If there was an option to give 6 stars, I would give it.
We had a lovely day with Shima who showed us around Toulouse! She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable on the area and the history of the city which was such a bonus to the delicious food we also ate!
It was a great way to discover Toulouse and the food of the region. Shima was knowledgeable about the food and history of the city. I loved the market!
We had a wonderful tour, a very knowledgeable guide, and exceptional food. We would highly recommend.
Great little walk round Toulouse enjoying some special tastings with our host Gaeton. Very relaxed. 😎
We had a great tour of some fine food establishments around Toulouse with our guide Gaetan. Very comfortable nice slow pace in the extra hot May sunshine, shared with a small group and good company for a few hours. The Victor Hugo market was amazing. Was too engrossed so sadly didn’t get any photos!
Michael was an excellent guide. He told us about the history of the city and we had 4 spots where we had a bite of food (cheese, chocolate, fois gras, and violet candy) and one restaurant where we had a traditional dish and a glass of wine. It was nice to sit and eat lunch after walking a while. This was a great way to see the city. Really enjoyed it and can highly recommend.
