We start with a panoramic walking tour of Toledo, into the old quarter to visit the main square and the inside of the impressive Primate Cathedral. The Cathedral It is one of the most impressive monuments of Toledo and unique in Spain ,magnum opus of the Gothic style in Spain. It is an indispensable visit in the heart of Toledo. A spectacular piece of the Spanis architecture and art. We will continue the tour towards the old Palace of Justice and the City Hall. We will continue our visit through the old Jewish quarter with its narrow streets to visit the Church of St. Tomé, with the very famous painting of El Greco "El entierro del Conde Orgaz". Then we visit the old Synagogue of St. Maria la Blanca, which remains as a symbol of the coexistence of the "Three Cultures". We will also visit a typical factory of Damasquino, well known handicraft art of Toledo. The use of facemasks during the tour is mandatory. Before it was an Arab market and until a few years ago there was a street market called "popularly" on Tuesday, it was Enrique IV who granted Toledo a market every Tuesday, a tradition that comes from far away and is currently held in the Parque de la Vega. Zocodover comes from Arabic, it means market of the beasts, and this square was also used to publicly execute the condemned.
The church of Santo Tomé or Santo Tomás Apóstol is located in the historic center of the Spanish city of Toledo, and was founded after the reconquest of this city by King Alfonso VI de León.1 It appears cited in the twelfth century , as built on the site of an old 11th century mosque.2 This mosque, together with others from the city, were used as Christian churches without major changes, since no buildings were destroyed in the capture of the city. However, at the beginning of the fourteenth century, due to being in a dilapidated state, it was completely rebuilt by Gonzalo Ruiz de Toledo, Lord of Orgaz, and the old minaret of the mosque was transformed into a bell tower in Mudejar style.3 Its fame is due to all for housing inside, the painting The Burial of the Count of Orgaz by El Greco, which can be seen by accessing the back of the church.
Beyond its concrete historical and artistic value, the Cathedral Church has a value and a theological significance as a reference for the pastoral life of the whole diocese, for priests and for the lay faithful. In addition, the cathedrals have been the forge place of our Western and European culture; they were the embryo of the current universities, they anticipated welfare work and they were art workshops. Today the cathedrals are witnesses of that culture and message of transcendence and values for the people of today.
Santa María la Blanca is a temple located in the Spanish city of Toledo. Built in 1180 as a synagogue and, having functioned as such for 211 years, it was expropriated and transformed into a church as a result of the pogrom of 1391. At present the building belongs to the Catholic Church, but there is no cult in it. It is open to the public and functions as a museum or center where both cultural and educational activities take place.

Wonderful tour through Toledo with our guide Arantxa. She was very knowledgeable, caring and attentive. Would love to do other tours with her
Arantxa was the best guide I have ever had on any tour I have gone on in any country! She & the driver were wonderful. The van is luxurious with Air Conditioning & cold waters available always. She made sure to take us to the best locations to teach us the history of Toledo & allow us to get photo opportunities. She was both professional & very kind with a sweet sense of humor. Amazing experience with Arantxa. My friend recommended her and she sets the bar high for all other tour guides. It was a private tour so she picked us up from our hotel. It was interpersonal and super fun! We went early so it wasn’t super hot and we had such a beautiful view of the city. The tour was from around 9:30a to about 2:30p. 10/10 I would recommend her to anyone who hasn’t been to Toledo.

The visit to Toledo today was very good from the driver Manuel and the Beatriz Guide, we toured the necessary sites to know the history and know as much as possible of the place

Had a great trip to Toledo guided by Arantxa. Hotel pick up was right on time (arrived a few minutes early), the van was comfortable with a friendly driver. Arantxa showed us the highlights of Toledo and was very helpful to my partner who needs a cane for balance, even with the uneven cobblestone streets.
