Toledo Historical Small Group Tour with Cathedral & Monuments

When we think about the history of Spain, Toledo stands in an inevitable position. One of the three cultures' cities eventually became Greco's hometown; the city of Europe's most recent Gothic Cathedral is one of a kind and well worth a visit. This is the plan: we will go inside the Cathedral; St. Tomé; St. María la Blanca and St. Juan de los Reyes and, between this monuments, our guide will provide a walking tour about the city itself. However, the greatest question is: what kind of visit? We are in 2023; to fight mass tourism, our groups have only 10 people. We could do whatever, but our slogan has always been "We love this place." Well, we assume the duty of making it sustainable. We are The guides you need, and this is the tour the nobel city of Toledo needs us to do. We will make a walking tour and visit the main monuments (including the Cathedral) in small groups where the guide will speak just one language (we do not like bilingual tours either).

Home of Greco's masterpiece "The burial of the Lord of Orgaz" and a magnificent mudéjar temple.
This used to be a Synagoge, nowadays is a mudéjar-style Church.
We will visit this Gothic-Elizabethan (when we say Elizabethan we mean our Isabel -Elizabeth- I of Spain) Monastery.
One of the most impressive temples of the Spanish Gothic Style. We'll spend about an hour inside of this wonderful building.

Macarena was such an incredible guide. Being from Toledo, Ohio USA, I knew we wanted to do a tour of Toledo, Spain and I did NOT want to do it with a large bug group. Paying for a small group tour was not that much more expensive and 100% worth it! In fact, it ended up being just me and my boyfriend on the tour! We were able to ask questions and she was able to give us excellent suggestions for lunch in Toledo as well as sent us messages re: suggestions in Madrid. Toledo was one of the highlights of our France/Spain trip and much of that was because of our guide. Only one other time I have I fallen in love with a city (Florence), but I think I may now be cheating with Toledo! The tour length was perfect to cover all the major attractions and we received the tourist pass bracelet to get into any other monuments for free. THANK YOU MACARENA!
Our guide Stephi was phenomenal and the history of the city fascinated us. Before we met our guide, we had to make our way to the main Square from the local train station. There are lots of steps and a lot of elevation to cover to get into town. We arrived at 9:30 in the morning so the weather was still cool enough to make the walk. I would not have wanted to do it later in the day when it was warmer. Plenty of taxis available and buses too to avoid the walk.

We throughly enjoyed our tour! First off our guide, Alex, was terrific. Super informative, friendly and allowed for great conversations. He was really on it prior to the tour making sure we got there ok and knew exactly where to meet him! A small group of 5 allowed for a real personal visit to this lovely town! Our tour guide, Belen, gave an excellent historical tour! She was very knowledgeable regarding the history of Spain, with specific Toledo history as well. She did very good job of explaining Toledo’s importance in the history of Spain. She highlighted the beauty of Toledo, paying extra attention to the cathedral and the Jewish quarter. Would highly recommend the tour.
