We booked through TripAdviser, Samurai Sword Cutting & Armor shooting. It's 90 mins experience. 60 mins learning with Sword, 30 mins Armor fitting & photo shooting. We had tried all tours in Kyoto (Tea ceremony, Geiko/Maiko, Sumo, Ninja). We couldn't find availability in Kyoto for Samurai, so I booked here in Osaka. I'm very happy I did! This turned out to be the BEST tour experience we had in Japan! Sensei is a very cool person! We felt the experience was authentic, other tours we did were all too touristy...In summary, we love it!! The only issue is that the place is kinda small. It is Ok for us, 3 people in a group, but it might be not as good if you have a large group.
Thank you! We're honored to be your "BEST experience in Japan"! 🗡️ Knowing we outshone your Kyoto tours with our authenticity truly humbles us. We'll tell Sensei you think he's "cool"! We appreciate the feedback on our space; we keep it cozy to ensure personal, high-quality sessions. Hope to see you back in Osaka!
My son and I were really looking forward to the Let’s Go to Battle: Samurai Sword Cutting and Armor Shooting experience. We showed up at the location early and on time, excited and ready for the tour. Unfortunately, the place wasn’t even open when we arrived. We waited around for over 30 minutes with no sign of anyone from the tour company. I tried contacting the tour operator through Viator, WhatsApp, and Messenger—absolutely no response. After standing around with no communication and nothing happening, we finally gave up and left. It was a complete waste of our time and money, including the taxi ride we took to get there. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was incredibly disappointing. Now I have to go through the hassle of requesting a refund. I would highly recommend looking for a more reliable operator if you’re interested in this kind of experience. We were genuinely excited about this, and it’s unfortunate it turned out this way.
Good morning. This is the manager of Samurai Honor. We would like to express our gratitude for choosing our company from among the many activities available and making a reservation. However, we would like to explain the reasons for the unilateral cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control, apologize for the inconvenience, and explain how we will proceed in the future. ➤Reasons for cancellation Due to a problem that occurred at Samurai Honor Co., Ltd., the company that operates our store, we were forced to temporarily close during the following period. Closure Period: June 9–29, 2025 During this period, our on-site staff were unable to work and were unable to contact customers who had already made reservations to inform them of the cancellation. ➤Refunds Of course, we will promptly refund the full amount paid by all customers. If you made your reservation through an activity website, →please cancel through the website, and the refund will be processed through that site. If you have not received a refund after one month, please contact us. If you made your reservation through the official website, → Please provide us with your bank account or PayPal account for the refund. ➤ Future Actions Due to this incident, the operator has changed, and our staff's contract has also been revised. The contract now grants full authority to me, the manager. I will take full responsibility and work with the entire staff to provide the best possible service. ➤ Apology To customers who visited without any prior notice, and to those who received a cancellation notice on the day of their reservation, we sincerely apologize for causing you inconvenience during your precious travel time. Travel memories are cherished for a lifetime, yet we have left you with unpleasant memories and caused you disappointment, which we deeply regret. As a token of our apology, we would like to offer you the following options: A: If you give us another chance, we will invite the same number of people on the same plan for free. or B: If you introduce us to your friends or acquaintances, we will invite those customers on the same plan for free. Please allow us to do this for you. Samurai Honor Manager Yasumatsu
