Huge trove of Titanic history

Fantastic museum if you have any interest in the story of the Titanic. They start with a brief history of Belfast industries including shipbuilding and then go specifically into the Titanic. Covers its construction, outfitting, launching. Shows how the ticket classes differed. Amazing parallels to today's sea and air travel. A lot of actual artifacts on loan that survived the wreck. They use a variety of static and interactive displays. Really liked the central stairs toward the end with the scale model suspended over the undersea video floor. Do pay attention to the final artifacts at the bottom like the violin played as it went down. Someone found it floating in the wreckage and saved it. Our visit was too short because it was part of a cruise excursion. They recommend a couple hours, but if you take time to actually read everything you need more like 3 hours. It was super crowded the day we went. Cost was good for the value. Staff was plentiful and helpful. Bottom floor has food and the obligatory gift shop. Don't miss the outside part with the ship outline and memorial areas. Did not have time to see the Nomadic around the block. It is the last surviving White Star ship.

Never going back

It was so crowded in this building that it felt claustrophobic. Hard to get through everything with the short amount of time we had. The staff was slow to making sure our group all had headsets. Don’t ever need to do this again…

A disappointing visit

We were really looking forward to the visit to the Titanic museum but were ultimately disappointed. Initially it seemed hopeful because there was a booking system to limit the number in at a specific time, but it appears this means very little! The Titanic museum seems to value money over experience so the whole museum was filled to stuffing point. The exhibits had tiny writing which were impossible to see with so many people in the museum and we had to queue multiple times. Ultimately what could have been an interesting visit was ruined by the museums decision to get as much money as possible with as many people as possible.

Cool atmosphere

What a cool museum! I was quite tired when I went but was still able to enjoy the exhibits. I went in the evening as they have extended hours for the summer and it was relatively quiet.

Great museum

Great museum - very interactive and very interesting. We read that it can be really crowded so we got a ticket for 4:30pm and it was perfect. There was no line for the little "ride" in the middle and we could walk freely around. I would definitely do the late in the day option if you can.

Brilliant

AUTISM FRIENDLY 🌻 This deserves a 5 star review! I paid for my 2 children and my own ticket was free (wasn't asked for proof of diagnosis) The queue for the ride was extremely long I asked one of the workers was it possible to fast track based on one of us having autism, without hesitation the man literally whisked us to the very top of the queue! There was absolutely no waiting I have never seen anything like it in my life I am super impressed with this. Well done guys this is brilliant to see for the neurodiverse community

There is a lot of...

There is a lot of information to hear and read regarding the work it took to make the vessel as well as the info regarding the sinking of the vessel.

Excellent Discovery Tour (with Conor)

We took the Discovery Tour and booked direct. Scottish Conor was an excellent guide and had excellent knowledge surrounding the Titanic and the local area. It also included a quick tour of the local hotel and the rooms associated with the Titanic. We also went to the museum which is excellent but very busy.
