Portaria is perhaps the most famous and visited Pelion village. This is due to the traditional beauty of the village and to the fact that is situated just 12 km from Volos town. Furthermore, during winter it is probably the last refueling stop for the Pelion ski resort (just 13 km) or the place for lunch, coffee and anything else that may relax skiers before returning back home.
Tsagarada village in Pelion mountain is located on the east side of the mountain with an amazing view to the Aegean sea. Discover the village squares of the four Tsagarada’s settlements and enjoy the feeling of the Olympian god’s summer resort!
Zagora village is the largest among Pelion mountain villages. It is located on the east side of the mountain, on one of Pelion‘s mountain slopes overlooking the Aegean sea.
Vizitsa village is a very picturesque traditional Pelion village, between the villages of Milies and Pinakates. It is located 30 kms from the city of Volos and it is accessed quite easily.
Makrinitsa village is one of the most traditional and beautiful Pelion villages. It offers amazing view to Pagasitikos gulf and Volos city and for this reason it is named as Pelion balcony.The natural beauty of Pelion perfectly preserved architecture, breathtaking views from the square and the small distance from Volos, have made Makrinitsa one of the most popular tourist destinations in Pelion throughout the year.
