Our Thessaloniki Food Tour with Bill and Elisa was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Greece! They took us beyond the typical tourist experience and introduced us to authentic, family-owned restaurants, local food markets, and wonderful hidden gems throughout the city. What made the tour truly special was the opportunity to meet the restaurant owners and hear the stories behind their businesses. Each family welcomed us with genuine hospitality and eagerness to share their history, traditions, and how their restaurants began. The food was incredible, the local culture was fascinating, and Bill and Elisa’s knowledge and passion for Thessaloniki made the experience unforgettable. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and a much deeper appreciation for the people and culture of Greece. If you’re visiting Thessaloniki, this tour is a must-do. Thank you, Bill and Elisa, for creating such a memorable experience!
This was a perfect way to spend three hours in Thessaloniki. We truly felt like we were getting an authentic taste of local foods, popping into little shops off the more touristy beaten paths. Our guide, Zina, was so knowledgeable, friendly, and kept us entertained along the way. All the food was delicious, but we especially loved the pies — and the story behind the shop. Was not a difficult walk, with plenty of time to pop into shops and poke around the markets. Cannot recommend more highly!
