Description
Our tour to Myth and History starts by visiting the ancient city of Dion dedicated to the most important Olympic God, Zeus. In the Archaeological site of Dion, we can see a large temple dedicated to Zeus and a series of temples dedicated to Demeter and Isis.. Our experienced guide will lead you to the Dion Museum where you will admire the unique findings. The tour will end in the picturesque, traditional village of Old Panteleimon, here you will have plenty of time to stroll around and discover the graphical narrow stone paved streets, the cute houses and the hidden taverns.

Our first stop will be full of history as we will visit the Ancient city of Dion with the large temple dedicated to Zeus.
The Archaeological Museum of Dion displays finds from the excavations on the archaeological site of Dion. The Dion city center and the public buildings, its sanctuaries, and the necropolis are presented through exhibits organized in sections according to the place of their discovery. Finds from other sites of archaeological interest in Pieria are presented on the first floor
Our last stop will be at the picturesque village of Old Panteleimon where we will have free time to explore its unique history.

Much culture...but .less Mountain !!! Olympus seen only from far !!! Picture on leaflet shows Olympus closer...
Mt Olympus was really beautiful, and I enjoyed the Dion archaeological park. Our guide was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a nice atmosphere on the tour.

We booked our trip to Dion and Mt. Olympus through Hello Thessalonki. Whatt a great choice!! The price for 2 was reasonable, the driver/guide was prompt, very knowledgable and accomodating. John treated us to Greek coffee and a specialty dessert from one of the monestaries. The Dion archiological site was quite large and interesting. We had plenty of time to walk through the site as well as the musseum. On the way back from Mt Olympus we saw some beautiful waterfalls. Thanks John for a very memorable day!
