We booked the tour spontaneously at the request of our 9 year old son. And we want to express our deep gratitude to Efi. She has a deep knowledge of the history of her city, region and country and despite the terrible heat wave we spent 4 unforgettable hours with her. If you are looking for one of the fun modern guides, Efi is probably not for you. But if you want to get acquainted with the history and myths of the city and the region - Efi is very good at this. Special thanks for the gifted book about the history of one of the islands, authored by Efi - great fun for my son on the trip.
I appreciate your kind words for my Thessaloniki tour and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your Northern Greece trip. Thank you!
While my wife was planning our trip to Greece she came across the Official Thessaloniki Guide website. Since we were interested in a walking tour of Thessaloniki we contacted Efi Kalapoukidou for her guided tour of the city. Not only this tour but we booked her for Dion, Verghina and Pella. We found her highly professional, well trained and greatly appealing for her vast knowledge of History. We'd recommend Ms Kalapoukidou to anyone who is interested not only in the cultural and historical aspect of these sites but also for her friendly attitude and helpfulness. Gianni and Mimma, greetings from Greece to Bari, Italy! Thank you very much for visiting my city and the sights around it and having me as your private guide there. Most important: You took the trouble to search for a certified guide in Greece, that sadly most visitors don't do! I hope you enjoyed the rest of the places you travelled to after the Macedonian region as well.
Being in Thessaloniki with Efi was amazing, she is very informative and shared with us the hidden gems of Thessaloniki, walking through the market was incredible and having lunch at a local Tavern was the best experience ever. She really made us feel like locals.. A true professional official licensed guide and most of all a perfect ambassador if her wonderful city Thessaloniki!! Thank you Efi for making our tour interesting, educational and a fabulous inter cultural experience…
Huge thanks for the kind review of yours, dear! Happy to have shown you my birthplace, Thessaloniki, followed by the Vergina Royal Tombs guided tour. Don't forget: Thessaloniki is one of the UNESCO Gastronomy Cities, combining delicious food, rich history and culture. Looking forward to see you again!
