Itinerary
Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and transport you to the World Peace Pagoda in the comfort of a private vehicle. Upon reaching the pagoda after about a 30-minute drive, it's a 10-minute walk through staircases to reach the massive Buddhist stupa. Constructed by Buddhist monks from the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji order, the monument reflects four prominent stages of the Buddha's life in four directions: where he was born in Lumbini, where he became enlightened in Bothgaya, where he taught most of his life time in Sarnath, and where he reached nirvana at Kushi Nagar. Reaching this place atop a hill overlooking the southern shore of Phewa Lake, learn about its design to inspire harmony. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the shrine provides a great vantage point from which to see spectacular views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara. You will be then transferred back to your hotel by private vehicle.

I was so lucky to have chance to get there. The World Peace pagoda in Pokhara is a serene and spiritual retreat with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in all of Nepal. From the top, I saw a sweeping view of Annapurna range, Phewa lake and the city below. Nice and peacefully place. They do not allow to make video and tiktok, it is good for the decorum of this place. It is the blend of natural beauty and human effort toward peace. A must to visit in Pokhara 👍

We took a taxi to the top and hiked down. The panoramic view from the summit is stunning, though unfortunately the sky wasn’t clear during our visit. The trail itself is mostly shaded and very comfortable to walk, even at midday. A great half-day activity — highly recommended.

We took a taxi to take us to the entrance. "InDrive" is now also operational in Pokhara, and the price in the app appeared as 580 NRS to take us there starting from the Lake Side Rd. It's a steep ride and we asked the driver to stop a couple of times to take pictures. As he picked us up in the city, the driver proposed to take us there, wait for us while we visited the pagoda, and take us back. He asked for 1500 NRS which I found a very honest deal. From the entrance point there are approx 300 steps to the pagoda. Enough resting spots/restaurants/souvenirshops on the way up. The view on top is very nice. No entry fee to the pagoda. Depending on the weather or the season, better to plan this trip early morning or late afternoon ... and not around noon as we did.

This holy place is very nearby to Pokhara Phewa Lake. A taxi will take 1200nrp (one way) and 1500nrp (both way) to get there. It has stair case to reach to the Pagoda. And you will find a number of outlets for light snacks and coffee. View from the top is spectacular. However, the most fascinating part for me was the trail to Phewa Lake from the Pagoda. It took me around 1 hr to reach to the down. Somewhere in mid point there is small shop for momo, tea, beer with seating arrangement. I met two Indian fnds there Yash and Jayant. We talked on different issues on travelling and Pokhara. Their company made rest of journey really wonderful. At the bottom, you have to buy boat tickets to go the other side of the lake. To Phewa Ghat it will cost you 750 nrp per boat. I loved the trail, the crossing the lake and the company of my two new frnds.

Well worth the long hike up to the top. Maybe set off early morning so it’s a little cooler. The views at the top are incredible and the Pagoda itself is beautiful - very photogenic. There are some small cafes up there for food and drinks too.
