Itinerary
Do you want to marvel at something? Once you’ve experienced the vast and beautiful region of Dingle Peninsula, you’ll understand why we love it so much. It’s a place where glorious beaches hug luscious shorelines. Where the traditions of a mysterious and passionate culture remain part of the everyday, from ruins to towns. All you will experience is beauty for yourself as we leave Killarney Town and head south towards Dingle Peninsula. You’ll understand why it’s a popular filming location spot and might even recognise scenes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi as we coast around.
We then journey along Slea Head Drive (or Slí Cheann Sléibhe if you want to practice the local tongue), one of Ireland’s most scenic routes. Make sure you’re not napping as we coast along this circular route. Trust us, you’ll kick yourself later if you miss these views. There’s so much to love along the way, and we’ll keep our options open as we drive. Perhaps you’ll stop in at Tóchar Maothaithe – Ireland's famous beehive huts. Or maybe the Famine Cottages, bleak histories with an incredible view.
The day ends in the charming town of Dingle, where you’ll have a couple of hours to wander, try local cuisine, visit the distillery, or enjoy a scoop of Murphy’s Ice Cream with unique flavours like Irish Brown Bread or Dingle Gin.
It’s time to head back to Killarney, just a short drive to end a pretty fabulous day.

Very enjoyable tour with Derrick. Small group with unrushed stops and interesting commentary. We also did the Ring of Kerry day tour with Rabbie's and preferred this one, if we had to recommend just one.
Beyond our expectations based on the description. Mick, our guide/driver, was great, kept a good pace and was humorous. Would definitely recommend, liked that it was a smaller group.
A great day trip to the West coast of Ireland. Plenty of quick stops to stretch your legs and 2 hours in Dingle to grab lunch and a pint or three. Dereck was a very informative driver and kept the dialogue going throughout the entire day.
It was great. John was our guide. Very nice. Very informative. Very pleasant. We would recommend this to anyone.
Small group more time at places. Martin was excellent fun relaxing never felt rushed . Rabbies tour with Martin was lovely
Fun, easy way to experience the stunning Dingle Peninsula (with a professional driving!). Although we had a rental car, we were grateful to have Mick as our guide and driver - the roads are narrow and steep. This way, we were able to hear a lot of history and experience the major viewpoints and spots of interest in an stress-free manner. Highly recommend. Also, parking in the Beech Road car park was easy and relatively inexpensive.
This is an absolutely fabulous tour! The scenery is stunning. Martin was our guide and he couldn’t have been more informative. He also has a great sense of humor. I was remiss in, leaving a newly purchased scarf on the van and he returned it to me the next morning. Martin, you are the best! He enhanced our tour in every way.
Very professional and informative tour guide and the Dingle Peninsula is just beautiful! Our weather was not the greatest but the experience was still amazing. Our guide included a stop at the Westernmost pub in Europe! Lovely day!
A really spectacular coastline with wild rugged beaches, fabulous view points and pretty well maintained roads. The Coumernaole beach and the viewpoints there are breathtaking with the surf rising high and carving out the rocky coastline which rises vertically above the waters. It’s no wonder some of the the Star Wars scenes were filmed here. This was a really good time to visit with the slanting sun rays adding to the magic and the lack of crowds making this a lovely personal experience. The weather too was pretty good as long as you dressed in layers.
Had a beautiful time on this tour through Slea Head and Dingle … Dingle is truly such a special place with so much to discover. Tour guide was wonderful!
