Itinerary
The Vasa Museum, ranked as one of the best 10 museums in the World is a must while visiting Stockholm. Commissioned in the 1620s during Sweden's Great Power Era by King Gustav II Adolf, this Royal war ship was to be the most powerful warship not only in the Baltic Sea, but perhaps in the entire world. But only 20 minutes after its departure on her maiden voyage, the Vasa capsized and sank into the Stockholm Harbor. After lying on the seabed of the Baltic Sea for 333 years, the Vasa was "rediscovered" and salvaged. The Vasa is one of Sweden's treasures. It is the only and best preserved 1600's galleon of its kind in the entire World. The Vasa does not appear to be a ship that was wrecked, but rather it seems to be a ship awaiting her next trip.

Our tour guide Fer was amazing. So knowledgeable and personable. The museum was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour especially with Fer.
Fer was an extraordinary tour guide-not only gracious and engaged but extremely knowledgeable and interesting. And-she went above and beyond to offer to help us with any questions or concerns we had during our stay in Stockholm. She was excellent!! Thank you, Fer!
The Vassa Museum is one of the most impressive museums we've ever visited. And our tour guide, Fer Donoso, was so knowledgeable, kind, funny and interesting! We highly recommend both the museum and Fer!
This was exceptional experience and even more so by having Maria Fernanda as my guide here and the Royal Palace. I’m sure that when I go back to Stockholm, I will be in contact with her again for more Stockholm insights. Well worth all the time. Lifetime of memories now! Also, when you both Maria Fernanda is listed as FER so be sure to ask for her!
Fer was AWESOME! She was so informative and so easy to work with! She made us laugh while sharing the history of the Vasa. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and I hope you can get Fer as your guide!
Very knowledgeable guide who communicated in an interesting and engaging way. Very personal and exclusive tour.
Blown away by the knowledge of the history. It really put it all together. Learned so much about Swedish history we were not aware of . Our guide was the best.
We came to the Vasa on a damp day with large crowds. FER DONOSO TOURS met us with ease and took us straight in. Bypassing the crowds the insight and outlines she gave were insightful and entertaining. Even before our visit, we were welcomed almost as an honoured family guest by email. The tour was simply excellent. We could not imagaine the Vasa without this tour. We also were given advice on other spots in Stockholm we were seeing, as well as a gracious, witty and energetic hostess. Do oyurself a favour and book a tour with DER DONOSO!
VASAMUSEET is a superb museum. Installed in modern facilities recreated to receive this rescued war vessel into the waters of Stockholm Harbour, the building was designed to view the navy vessel from all angles and at different levels. The ship was installed on a large concrete ship, which provides a fantastic view of the silhouette and the details of the ship’s exterior. The interior is not visible which removes some aura to the dazzling of the port of this powerful ship. Various adjacent spaces, large, modern, endowed with all the technologies, recreate old times and experiences, the Stockholm navigation, the customs and techniques of antanho. An indispensable and amazing visit to get to know the country better.
Our tour guide was Fer Donoso who was wonderful. We were a bit late getting to the museum as the taxi got caught in traffic, but Fer was happy to wait for us. She was very knowledgeable, professional and answered all our silly questions. She even gave us information about subjects outside her purview like how much to pay for a taxi & which ones to get & which ones to avoid. I would highly recommend Fer as an excellent tour guide
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. You made the visit so enjoyable and easy. I really appreciate your kind words and I hope we can meet again soon. I had a wonderful time. I hope you had a safe trip back home. Fer
