Our local guide will share Turin’s significance in shaping Italian identity. Known for its chocolate, the city thrived as royal families indulged in tastings. Begin at a historic café with the original Bicerin, a drink enjoyed since the 1800s. Stroll through some of the landmarks and discover hidden gems. Then, in a cozy setting, start a lesson about chocolate, with insights given by the guide, by tasting exceptional dark chocolate made from just 10% of the world’s finest cocoa. Then, sample traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto and Cremino. The Gianduiotto, named after Gianduja, blends finely ground hazelnuts with chocolate—originating in 19th-century Turin when cocoa was scarce. All products are 100% organic and “bean to bar.” Pair your chocolates with Barolo Chinato, an aromatized wine from the Barolo area that complements the chocolate flavors perfectly.

Piazza Vittorio Veneto is a large and historic square in the center of Turin, surrounded by Baroque buildings, cafes, and restaurants. It is dominated by the Church of Gran Madre di Dio and offers a vibrant and lively atmosphere, especially in the evening. At the heart of the square stands the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto, Duke of Savoy, a prominent figure in Turin's history. Flanked by twin churches, the Church of San Carlo and the Church of Santa Cristina, the square is a stunning example of baroque architecture. Piazza San Carlo is not only a picturesque destination but also a hub of activity. Locals gather here to socialize, enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafes, or simply soak in the beauty of their surroundings. Started 1030am and our palate was ready. Guide Fabio started us off w Bicerin at Cafe Elena , a beautiful street side cafe. We got some history the proceeded down the block to a private chocolate experience, paired w a borolo. We were only 3 which added to experience. Time slipped by our guide but he never rushed, in fact he called to say he may be a few moments late for his next tour. I’d give 6 stars if possible

We were greeted very kindly by the guide and given an engaging introduction to the world of chocolate. He showed us different types of chocolate, made from various cocoa beans and prepared in different ways. We also got to taste a delicious spicy Barolo vermouth, which combined perfectly with the chocolate. We had never looked at chocolate this way before, a truly surprising and tasteful experience. An interesting talk and a friendly guide but the price of the "tour"was absolutely not justified. For that s what you only get : a talk about chocolate processing and flavors around a table with a moka, then a few pieces of chocolate and a litte dessert wine.

Our experience offers more than just a discussion; it includes a tasting of fine bean-to-bar high quality chocolate, which can range from €80 to €110 per kilogram, and the dessert wine served is a Barolo Chinato, one of the most refined and aromatic fortified wines. Additionally, the Bicerin enjoyed in one of Torino’s historic cafés is known for being quite expensive due to its quality and tradition. We aim to provide a memorable and authentic experience of Torino’s rich chocolate and beverage heritage, reflecting the city’s renowned craftsmanship and history.
