The Secret Venice + Cicheti & Wine Private Tour

Passionate, very friendly, and perfectly knowledgeable about the city, he showed us hidden and authentic places that we would never have found on our own. His anecdotes and explanations made the visit fascinating from start to finish. He also recommended an excellent restaurant, a true gem. Thanks to him, we discovered another side of Venice, far from the usual tourist routes. We recommend Nicolas without hesitation!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Nico as our tour guide, and he was fantastic. The stories and information he shared were incredibly insightful, detailed, and engaging. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it made the entire experience that much better. This was our first day, and after a long day of travel we were completely exhausted, but Nico somehow kept us energized and enjoying every minute until we finally had to call it a night. Honestly, it was the perfect way to kick off our trip. If I had the opportunity to choose a guide for the rest of my travels, I would pick Nico every single time. Highly recommend.

This was my third visit to Venice, and I can’t believe how little I knew of or had seen of Cannaregio and surrounding neighborhoods. Some call it the “real” Venice because of its quiet lanes, canals and lack of touristy businesses. What we discovered was a quiet, beautiful area with a lot of history and charm. Our guide, Nico, was all you can ask for in a guide. Passionate about the area (he was born, raised and still lives in Cannaregio) and so well versed in the little gems found all around the area. We included the cicchetti option as part of our tour and it was a wonderful addition to the experience. So many places offer cicchetti and it is hard to know which places to pick. We made three stops along the way. All were great, and at each stop we were introduced to all of the various options to choose from. One other aspect worth mentioning about Nico. He is able to curate your tour to your interests and tastes. In listening to our questions, he would shift gears and tailor his tour to our interests but without compromising the overall scope of the tour. Yes, after reading my review, it is no secret I highly recommend this tour.

This was a private tour, just our group. Well worth the cost; Nico our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. I’d do this again.

The guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The tour was full of information but too intense. We walked over 2 hours in the heat without stopping. We found it too long and a bit boring. Don’t confuse this tour with a food tour, that’s what we thought it would be.

This tour was amazing! We had one night in Venice and this walking tour through all of the backstreets was amazing. Our guide shared so much information and history. We stopped several times and tried local cuisine ans wines in tiny pubs off the beaten path!

The Secret Venice and Cicchetti Tour was the highlight of our visit to Venice. Natasha was an excellent guide providing us with the detailed history of Venice and overview of current Venetian life. We really enjoyed the visual aids she showed us on her tablet, while we learned more about the historical locations we walked to. She took us to cicchetti bars that we would not have found otherwise and taught us how to order ombra. We really appreciated her guided selections of cicchetti based on our preference to try many seafood options! Natasha also showed us how to make free reservations to the scenic rooftop terrace at Fondaco dei Tedeschi in between cicchetti stops. It was wonderful to do this tour on our first night in Venice, as we were able to get great restaurant and gelato suggestions from Natasha!
