This was a fantastic overview of Swedish food & food culture. Our guide Cotton was very knowledgeable and friendly!
Just a little confusion as to the meeting location. Maybe have the host with a sign/nametag. However, Teresa was a great host and the food experience was amazing.
Thanks for the fair note on the meeting point - that is useful for us. I’m very glad Teresa made the Stockholm food experience so good once you were underway. Best, Peter
Very informative tasting tour with Theresa. There is a bit of walking between tastings which we enjoyed so you get a perspective on the city and a list of places to return to the remainder of your trip. Really interesting licorice tasting, loved the fish stop and the beautiful market and tastings at the start. Highly recommended.
Theresa will be very happy to read this. Good to hear the tastings, walking, market stops and local perspective made the Stockholm tour so worthwhile. Best, Peter
This was a very informative tour with well thought out tastes. The guide was able to accommodate everyone's dietary restrictions and share local/traditional facts with us. It was more than a food tour, we learned about Swedish government, way of life, architecture, and history.
Thanks for the thoughtful review, Keir. I’m glad the tastings, local facts and care around dietary restrictions made the Stockholm tour feel like more than just food. Best, Peter
This tour had a lot more walking and less food than I am used to, but a healthier vacay never hurt anyone. 😂 Not saying that’s a bad thing; I’ve just been on tours with more tastings, or more of the more substantial food, is all. We went to two food halls. We had three cheeses and crackers with marmalade, a trio of game meats (bear, reindeer, and moose?), a small Swedish meatballs, a fish/seafood medley (loved the soup), too much licorice (for me), and fika (coffee and a cinnamon roll). We had beer at one stop and wine at another. Cotton, our host, was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about history and culture. Overall this was very enjoyable and I’d definitely recommend!
Thanks for the fair note, Matthew. I’m glad you still enjoyed the tastings and the healthier walking side of the Stockholm tour. Best, Peter
Theresa was an amazing guide. Her knowledge about the cuisine in Stockholm was very informative. The foods we tasted were so yummy! I would highly recommend this food tour.
Theresa will be very happy to read this. Good to hear her knowledge and the Stockholm tastings made the tour so enjoyable. Best, Peter
It was a great experience! We walked around and saw some of Stockholm, we got to taste so many different food items known to Stockholm. There were 12 people in our group and we enjoyed talking with everyone
Good to hear. Stockholm works well when you get to walk a little, taste broadly and talk with the others along the way.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Theresa. It started out with small bite tasting and explanations followed by traditional holiday foods. There was lots of walking and we were not overly full which has happened in other food tours. It was very well curated! We’d recommend it and Theresa!
Theresa will be happy to read this, Joy. I’m glad the tour felt well curated and that the balance of tastings and walking suited you. Best, Peter
Theresa was an excellent guide, answered all of our questions, and was knowledgeable and personable. When I turned down sampling something I truly dislike, she worked with the vendor and I was provided an alternate. There was a no show on our tour, so my husband and I had essentially a private tour. The food was varied and that pleased us. Days later we found ourselves at the tour meeting point again and ran into Theresa starting another tour! She remembered us, we had a short chat, and my husband and I promised her new group that they were in for a treat! Thanks again Theresa for making our first trip to Stockholm memorable.
Theresa will love reading this. I’m glad she looked after you so well, and that the tour became a memorable part of your first Stockholm trip. Best, Peter
Totally worth your time and cost. Please bring cash for a tip! I forgot and Katon (sp) was so wonderful!!! Im so sorry I had nothing to give him. Wonderful explanations of the city and history.
Good to hear, Stephanie. I’m glad the tour felt worth both the time and money, and that the city stories came through well. Best, Peter
