HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: No moon on tour so high visibility and the smoke from the fire has NOT been affecting it. :) Milky Way, Northern Cross, Vega, Summer Triangle, Venus, Jupiter, Big Dipper, Acturus, Anturus, and many more! This engaging and entertaining tour is threefold: (1) Greek and local indigenous constellation star stories (2) Phenomenal "Big Picture" astronomical concepts of the cosmos that concentrate on what you can see with your own eyes (no telescopes) and your perspective from earth as we travel through our solar system and galaxy (3) connections to my day time tour...The Experiential And Scientific Vortex Tour. The stars tell some of its amazing history :) Please come join us under the cool night sky and prepare to "meet the Stars" goaling to increase your magic with them :) Please dress warmly. I will provide blankets and hand warmers :) We stay at one location and there are chairs to sit in. Please refrain from bringing pets and alcohol. Thank you so much!

I think the reviews of my Experiential and Scientific Vortex Tour also advertised on on this Viator site speak to this. What I impart on this Night Sky Tour as the tie in to my Vortex Tour is an amazing summation I'd say. It's a culmination of three decades of searching and synchronistic experiences, and encountering amazing teachers of all walks of life. Honestly, I would have paid MUCH more than the price of this tour to have had all the stories and information on this Night Sky Tour imparted to me in 2005 when I started as a professional guide. IF THE WEATHER IS CLOUDY: Clouds happen seldom In Sedona at night as we only get an average of 17 inches of rainfall a year. However, it can happen. Some who book this tour are concerned about if it’s cloudy the night of the tour and we are already inside the time frame of the 24 cancellation policy. This information is intended to put your mind at ease with this. IF IT'S CLOUDY THE NIGHT OF YOUR TOUR, YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO CANCEL FOR A FULL REFUND, BASED ON YOUR DISCRETION, REGARDLESS OF THE 24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. YOU CAN EVEN STAY FOR THE WHOLE TOUR AND STILL ASK FOR A REFUND. The idea here is to give the tour a chance to take place. The clouds often clear shortly before the tour and make for a beautiful night because the "micro climate chimney winds" coming out of the Oak Creek canyon that change directions at night and often push the clouds out. :)
Credentials: I've been doing night sky tours for over six years. I added it to this site on Viator June of 2022. I have been a night sky enthusiast all my life and have been on many star tours. I have thought extensively about space and the cosmos and have asked many questions. The astronomy concepts I present are my favorites of what I call "Big Picture Astronomy" as we travel amongst our solar system and galaxy on "Spaceship Earth". :) I think you will be amazed! The story telling is greatly enhanced I'd say by my love for telling them :) I'm also a musician, actor, dancer, practice mma, climb, swim, run, play basketball, and do many other physical activities that I'd say very much help my liveliness in it all :) I fell in love with Sedona in 1996 passing through and decided to stay. I started professional tour guiding in 2005 and have conducted thousands of tours of different kinds. I'm a well-known guide and guide trainer in Sedona, especially at Safari Tours :)

Chad is very organized, kind, funny & informed. If you have anyone that's mobility impaired it's a very short walk. Book this tour!

The night sky in Sedona is so beautiful. Chad’s knowledge of the history and stories behind the constellations actually made them easier to spot. He was also very friendly and entertaining. One of my favorite tours. Seeing the Milky Way was so special

The guide just rambled on all over the place. It was too long plus he rambled for an additional 10 minutes past the w hours. I had to get up and find my way to my car alone in total darkness. Not cool!
Sedona is absolutely beautiful. There is an uptown and downtown to visit. Must visit Sedonuts. The donuts are both huge and delicious! The Sedona Pizza Company and the Hideaway restaurant are great places to eat. There are so many places to eat, it's hard to choose. There are so many cute shops to visit. Take the time to visit all types. There isn't anything you can't find here. The views are amazing! I could look at the beautiful colors all day long.
A fun and interesting way to spend an evening. Learned some new things and stayed warm under the provided blankets. Would recommend to people who enjoy a story and meeting a storyteller.

Fun and educational! Chad made his stories interesting and we did a lot of laughing. The setting was cozy and comfortable. Just the right amount of people. We were there for 2 hours and came away with a lot more knowledge of Astronomy. Thank Chad!

Chad led a wonderful night sky and storytelling experience. It is clear that he has a great handle on astrologic knowledge as well as that of Sedona. We really liked how he connected multiple culture's stories to the stars. Chad was friendly, fun, and engaging throughout the session with the entire group and eager to answer questions. Informative and family friendly. We appreciated he provided chairs and blankets, as it got chilly by the end of the evening. Our favorite part was, after showing us the constellations on his dark sky app so we could see what images they made, that he then used a laser pointer to show us how they connected. Would definitely recommend this being part of anyone's experience coming to Sedona - one of our favorite parts of our trip! P.S. Make sure you go to the bathroom before arriving, as there isn't one nearby the site.

It gets cold after the sun sets. Blankets are provided. Fun and entertaining. Sedona is an International Dark Sky - we could see hundreds of stars! Way more than from my back yard. Highly recommend watching the sun set and the stars appear.
