You'll spend a relaxing day away from the big city as you tour Azteca vineyards, one of Mexico’s most famous makers of sparkling wine. Learn about the wine-making process and visit an underground wine cellar. You'll then venture to Tepozotlán, where you'll visit the Colonial Religious Art Museum and the San Francisco Javier Temple.

Querétaro is one of Mexico's most prominent wine-producing areas and is known for its output of sparkling wines. Most vineyards in the region are found at an altitude of 6,500 feet (2,000 meters), and the most well-known winery in the region is Azteca wines. Explore their fields and wineries while discovering every secret of artisanal wine. You will learn about the entire process: from harvesting and extracting the grape juice to bottling and labeling each creation. And to top off the visit, you will enjoy an exquisite guided tasting, designed to delight your senses.
We will explore the former Jesuit monastery, now home to the National Museum of the Viceroyalty, and marvel at the majesty of Mexican Baroque art in the imposing Temple of San Francisco Javier.

Customers must call to confirm the exact pick-up time, because it's prior the activity starts from 15 to 60 minutes before. Unfortunately, we are not allow to pick you up on apartment building or private residences. If you are not hosted in one of the hotels before mentioned or you are staying in a Airbnb please make your way to the meeting point located at De La Republica Avenue 154, Tabacalera, 06030. Near to Monumento a la Revolucion, behind Barceló Reforma hotel, in front of ISSSTE building.

We were treated to a personal tasting with Jesus, the Head Sommelier. Ask about the story of the Japanese wine tasting! This region is almost three hours North of Mexico City. Plan on visiting three or four wineries in the region. Spend most of your time here tasting, listening to music, and enjoying the wine (red and bubbly). Don't miss the impressive tour of the cellar!

We took the tour and it was very well explained about the process and production of the different types of wine produced there, at the end we received a glass to keep with White Sparkling Wine.
