Amazing! He describes the stories and history so well
The tourguide is so energetic and fun! He really draws the audience in with his stories:)
It was very educational and interesting. We definitely recommend it further.
Our guide Christina was well versed in the history of Cologne, adding quite a bit of Roman history in the area and the bits and pieces left behind. There was a story of passionate revenge leading to a restless spirit, and the legend of the cathedral's architect making a deal with the devil. Lots of information about executions, the witch panic, the plague, and a funny story about a "zombie" woman who was buried alive and lived to tell about it. Christina pointed out architectural details that defined the Kolsch character, and showed pictures of what the city looked like after its near total destruction at the end of WWII. We covered most of the best parts of the old city, now rebuilt and restored. Children would not be frightened, but they might experience information overload, despite the enthusiastic presentation. Highly recommended, although in the summertime, it's still broad daylight even at 9pm.
Cameron and Caroline were an absolute joy to hear from in the duration of the Dark Side Of The Dom tour. Caroline animatedly detailed all the dates and Cameron pointed out the signs of the devil's work, treating us to some low hanging fruit.
No Guide at the meeting point, so there was no tour for our group and no contact with the company
We’re very sorry to hear that your group was unable to join the tour as planned. We understand how disappointing and frustrating that must have been, especially after arriving at the meeting point and not being able to reach us. We would like to look into this properly and make things right. Could you please let us know which day and tour you were booked on? Once we have those details, we can investigate what happened with the guide and your booking. Again, our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Lorena was fantastic, really personable and kind. Couldn’t recommend her more.
Our guide, Cameron, was light hearted and knew his history. He had a great sense of humor and was a joy to have as a guide! He told of old lore tales, a ghost sighting, a vampire serial killer, and a devilish detail in the building of the cathedral. Worth the Euros for a fun evening!
The guide was very energetic and knowledgeable. I wish I could remember her name. I was expecting more ghost-like stories of the Dom itself, but it was more about the history of Cologne. Overall I enjoyed it.
We had the best tour guide her name was, Lorena and she was from Columbia, but spoke fluent English German Spanish, and probably multiple other languages. She was extremely cultured, extremely knowledgeable do everything about everything here in Cologne and surrounding communities, even gave us wonderful recommendations for good Thai food in town. She really turned the city alive and something I wish I would’ve done our first day so that we knew what to go back to see.
