The Cali Street Food Walking Tour

Description
Welcome to my introduction to my hometown: discover local culture while we walk amongst landmarks and try local snacks. Come hungry! I will take you through a list of food spots that I've personally chosen. From hots to colds, solids to beverages, sweet to salty, stores & street vendors, national and local, fried to baked, fruits to meats, and everything in between while we walk amongst the city's most famous landmarks. All tasting options are snacks. But if you know Colombia, you know... we like eating. Most people are satisfied by the end. Items you will be able to choose from: pandebono, buñuelo, arepa, empanadas, marranitas, papa rellena, papa aborrajada, aborrajado, chorizo, champús, ice-cream, coffee... and some more! Vegetarians welcome. Gluten-free people are welcome. Meat-lovers welcome as well! There are options for everybody.

One of the most historical houses in Cali, nowadays a community of single mothers running businesses like a souvenir shop, a café and a restaurant.
For our first main stop we will visit one of the most well-known bakeries in Cali and understand the role that these have in local society. You will be able to choose from the following food items: pandebono, buñuelo, arepa, almojabana, empanada de cambray, coffee, fruit juices, oatmeals, fruit flavored yogurt, bottled water
A neighborhood full of hidden gems, our food adventure deepens around the colorful corners of one of Cali's best food areas.

One of Cali's most well-known hidden gems amongst travellers, a very unique place not just here but worldwide with working lytography printing machines originally designed to work on steam now adapted to electricity that date as far back as 1870.
For our last food stop and the end of the tour, another hidden gem in San Antonio is this ice cream shop with some of the wildest flavors you will ever see, like their specialty: passion fruit with honey-caramelized fried pork. Why? The owner, a chef with the idea of summarizing colombia in scoops. Included in the tour: 2 scoops of icecream.

This was an amazing tour of the streets of Cali while trying some delicious food. Juan was an amazing guide who is very friendly, professional and articulate. I would highly recommend.
Juan Camilo is an amazing tour guide! He is super knowledgeable about the history and culture of Cali. He took us to amazing spots for local food! We enjoyed everything about this tour and would definitely recommend it.
My tour guide Juan Carlo was incredibly informative about Cali, and he illuminated several facets of Cali that I did not know about. The street food was excellent (especially the chorizo and lulada!), but truly, the knowledge he espoused on the history of Cali and Salsa was invaluable. I highly recommend it!
We did this street food tour in March 2026 as a couple and booked with Juan again after doing San Cipriano with him the day before - once again it ended up being a private tour (I think he may have rearranged his day to fit us in). We met centrally and walked between different stalls, trying a wide range of food and drinks including fruit, savoury dishes, sweets, and local beverages. There was so much to try that we could barely finish everything! Juan’s local knowledge really enhanced the experience - he even took us to a specific stand so we could try a lulada, which was something I really wanted, and it was excellent. The stall was run by a lovely local family, which made it even more memorable. We also stopped at a few other points of interest around the city, which was a great way to round off the tour. Overall, a fantastic way to experience Cali’s food culture with a knowledgeable local guide.
Small group. Easy walking. Guide Andres was great. They do the tour even if only one person shows up.
It was a great experience! Very informative and we enjoyed each stop.
I had such an incredible time on this street food tour! From start to finish, it was the perfect mix of delicious food, local culture, and great company. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the city’s food scene. They didn’t just take us to popular spots — we visited hidden gems I never would have found on my own. Each stop had its own story, and learning about the history behind the dishes made the experience even more meaningful. The food itself was outstanding. We sampled a wide variety of flavors — savory, sweet, spicy — and everything was fresh and authentic. I especially loved how generous the portions were; I left completely full and happy! What really stood out was how well-organized everything was. The pace was relaxed, there was plenty of time to enjoy each stop, and the guide made sure everyone felt included and comfortable. If you’re visiting and want to experience the city like a local, this tour is absolutely worth it. I’d recommend it to food lovers, first-time visitors, or anyone looking for a fun and memorable way to explore. I would 100% do it again!
Juan is very kind and told us a lot. Not only about food but also about the city Cali. I would recommand it
Juan took us on a delightful culinary trip through the heart of Cali. Learned much about culture, food, and art along the way!
Thank you so much for this lovely review! 🌮🎨 I’m really happy you enjoyed the Cali Street Food Walking Tour and that the experience gave you a deeper look into Cali’s culture, local food, and street art. Exploring the city through its flavors and stories is one of the best ways to understand Cali, and I’m glad that came through during the walk. Thank you for joining me in the heart of the city — it was a pleasure to host you, and I hope to see you again on another local food or cultural tour in Cali, Colombia.
I grew up coming to Cali, but it was my partner's first time, and we enjoyed our tour with Juan Camilo. He was so kind and friendly- we felt an instant connection with him. Even though I knew a lot of what he was sharing, it was still great to get a local's perspective, and I even learned some new things!
Thank you so much for this lovely review, Daniel! 🌮💛 I’m really happy you both enjoyed the Cali Street Food Walking Tour, especially experiencing it from two perspectives — someone who knows Cali well and someone visiting for the first time. Sharing a local perspective on Cali’s food, culture, and everyday life while still offering new insights (even to returning visitors) is exactly what I aim for. Thank you for joining me — it was a pleasure to host you, and I hope to see you again on another food or cultural walking tour in Cali, Colombia.
