It is rated a 2 because I feel it was misleading when it indicated private. It’s on me I know, but there is no guide basically just a driver to cart you around. Our driver Natalie was a 5. The company dropped the ball as it was a late pick up and I had to chase them down about it. If you take this make sure you learn about the stops as they provide no help. Very costly and not worth the money.
Hi Katherine, Thanks for booking with me and taking time to leave a review. Your feedback is valued and much appreciated as I'm always looking to improve. I always try to give an excellent service. I apologise once again for your tour starting slightly later than 10:00. This is by no means a regular occurrence but Monday was a particular busy morning. Thankfully the tour went ahead as usual and you were able to enjoy the tour as normal. I was also happy to help by accepting your special request to drop your luggage at a location not on tour to ensure you had an easier morning the following day. The tours are private as you had a executive class people carrier for up to eight people for your group to enjoy with driver. I apologise for any misunderstanding. Thank you giving driver 5/5 recognising excellent customer service. My drivers are not trained tour guides on historical figures but they are always happy to share local knowledge and answer any questions to the best of their ability to create the best tour possible. I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience on the day. Many thanks John
Natalie is fantastic! She’s very engaging and took us to the best spots! Highly recommend! William Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle are must see landmarks!
Gary Watson was the best tour guide ever and this was one of the best days of my entire life. We had so much fun with Gary and we saw everything you could possibly see about Braveheart. I would highly recommend this tour. It's unforgettable. Even while we're back in Canada, we still speak about our fun time quite often.
Dominic was outstanding! We had a full 8 hours of visiting numerous places including some not on the itinerary. We got to negotiate time-frames at each location with him never feeling rushed. We've done lots of tours but prefer these private guided ones the most since we don't have to wait for slowpokes, be surrounded by those that ask 1000 questions, or feel rushed when we need more time to explore a spot. He even bought us strawberry pastries for our 40th wedding celebration. Request Dominic if you can. He is witty, smart, and an excellent driver.
Kenny our driver was amazing, kelpies was a waste of time, Linlithgow is the best castle ever and we needed more time there. Stirling was nice but we didn’t get enough time at William Wallace memorial - warning it shuts at 4pm and the last bus to the top is 345 - so leave enough time or you will have to climb to the top!
Kenny did a TERRIFIC job in driving us to Stirling where we visited the castle (and told to take our time and really enjoy the place) and dropped by a cute Christmas store in the town. He also took us to the battle of Bannock Burn before the drive to the castle. He then drove us to the Wallace Memorial Tower and even on to see the Falkirk Wheel as well and was an excellent Scottish host to two visiting Americans who fell in love with Scotland due to Kenny's wonderful hospitality and the gorgeous scenery in that area of his country.
Our tour guide, Paul was excellent and we had a great time driving around to the Stirling Historical sites. Would certainly recommend this tour for historians.
Excellent day. Very knowledgeable guide, and very personable. We were on a day excursion from Celebrity Apex with right on time pick up and drop off. I had a personalized whisky tasting with our driver at Bushmills (our driver did NOT drink!! 😂)
Stirling Castle is a MUST see. Take your time, investigate every corner. Then enjoy the Wallace monument, there's an excellent little cafe at the base of it, and the battlefield experience.
Wonderful driver. Friendly, warm, kind and witty. He gave us a great and memorable tour. Worth the cost. A private driver enabled us more to see more in a shorter amount of times, relax and not stress on making back on our ship.
Hi Stacey, I'm glad you were pleased with the service provided enjoyed your private tour with guide. Many thanks John MacSporran macsporrantours
