The Best of Sibenik Private Walking Tour

Enjoy an insightful walk with a local from Sibenik who will tell you about history, culture, tradition, but also everyday life. Our guide will show you hidden corners, best places to have a coffee or eat, and tell you the interesting facts that best describe life in our city. Starting from the main waterfront we will walk through this charming city explaining and showing everything that makes it a unique gem on the Adriatic coastline. The tour usually takes between 1.5 - 2.0 hours, but of course it can be prolonged or shortened regarding your preferences. If you want, during the walk we can take a short coffee/drink break to rest and speak a little bit about the town and Croatia.

You will see a renovated main square surrounded by important buildings for our town. Beautiful national theater, town library, remains of the old city walls, two 17century fortresses and church, Visiani park, clock fountain and of course local people because it is the entrance to the old town.
Our guide will explain you everything interesting about this remarkable monument that was built for over 100 years. If you choose we can visit it also from inside.

Andreas was an excellent guide. He was very personal, professional and knowledgeable. He covered history, daily life, and interesting inyanout the plant life. The old town was charming! Surprises around every corner. We climbed to the top of St. Michaels Castle for an incredible view of the area. Lots of stairs!

This walking tour was the highlight of our trip to Sibenik and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Croatia. Without a guide, these old town areas are interesting but without historical context. Mirdor made the history come to life. I highly recommend this tour.
Beautiful narrow cobblestone streets with many restaurants and shops give old town Sibenik great energy (without feeling overcrowded with tourists). Our guide Mirko provided lots of interesting information about the history of Sibenik as well as about specific buildings. His communication was very clear and very engaging with all the members of my family (including my 12 and 10 year old kids) so the 2 hours flew by before we knew it. Mirko was also flexible with what time and where to meet for the tour (we were driving from another city). Highly recommend as a way to learn about this historical town?
Our guide, Mirko, in Sibenik was wonderful beyond what any adjective could describe! He loves both his job and his country-and it showed throughout our tour. We had told him in advance that my husband is handicapped and could only walk a short distance without a rest. He was very flexible and adapted his usual tour to our needs! He planned many rest breaks and drove us to sights, in his clear and comfortable car whenever possible! Nothing was too much effort and he always had a ready hand or arm to help on uneven ground. I believe this was Mirko’s first handicapped modified tour. You email be very pleased with his tour, he is fabulous
