I had an amazing experience at Thai Cooking at Asianspacy Garden in Pattaya. I learned to cook green curry chicken, Tom Yum Goong, and mango sticky rice — and everything was absolutely delicious and truly authentic. My teacher was wonderful: incredibly kind, patient, and passionate. He explained each step clearly, shared helpful tips about Thai ingredients from the home-grown spice garden, and made the entire class fun and relaxed. Even as beginner, I felt confident and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hands-on and authentic Thai cooking class. It was definitely one of the highlights of our time here.
Highly recommend, not only perfect cooking but also lots of knowledge about spises. I am sure I will share my knowledge with my family.
Ah but it was really personal, there were 3 of us so it was almost a private course. 5 recipes, 4 made from start to finish, the sticky rice having to be soaked, steamed, it would have been too long! Everything was very good, tea tasting and shop at the end! And enough to have a meal in the evening with leftovers!
Perfectly organized inclusive pick-up and drop-off service, garden tour with explanations of the plants, patient step-by-step cooking instructions, tasting, advice on purchasing herbs and teas. It was fun and wanted more.
This was a great way to spend a morning. The host was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great and we had a lot of fun.
🌶️ A Must‑Do Experience in Pattaya: The Cooking Class That Stole My Heart 🌿 If you’re heading to Pattaya or Laem Chabang and want one experience that captures the soul of the country—its flavors, its warmth, its rhythm—this cooking class is it. I’ve done food tours and classes around the world, but this one is was special. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends. Our instructor didn’t just teach recipes; they opened a window into Thai and other spices. We started with a lively spice garden tour, weaving through plants learning, smelling touching. Leo introduced us to a whole new world of spices, teas, explained regional ingredients and nuances. In the open‑air kitchen—surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of sizzling woks—we cooked dish after dish that somehow tasted both simple and extraordinary. Think: silky soups layered with spices, and vegetables that we sliced & diced, and the freshest and easiest fried rice I’ve ever made (will be making it often). Every step was hands‑on, joyful, and surprisingly easy thanks to Leo’s expert guidance. What really made it unforgettable was the garden setting. We laughed, we learned, we shared stories over steaming bowls of food we had just created. When we finally sat down to eat our feast, I swear it tasted better than any restaurant meal—because it was infused with the experience itself. If you want to understand Thailand and it’s flavor —not just see it—take this class. You’ll walk away with new skills, new friends, and a deeper appreciation for the culture. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Leo and his staff were amazing. The instructions, given in 2 languages were so easy to follow and the food we prepared was excellent. I would highly recommend Asian Spice Garden to anyone wanting to learn more about Thai cooking as well as a chance to see most of the herbs and spices he grows on the property. The Spice shop is an amazing stop, even if you don't take the cooking class
Really enjoyable experience. Host was patient and knowledgable, and the tour of the herb garden was intreresting. Beware, though, that you need to fast beforehand if you want to eat everything you cook, and definately avoid being too heavy-handed with the chillies!
Very knowledgeable host and such a great experience very well organised and run. Talked us through what we should be doing every step, my wife and I were so pleased we did this experience.
Welcome dear friends and thanks for you
It was a cool fun well - rounded cullinary learning experience. Chef Leo is a great instructor. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn how to prepare a few popular thai dishes and learn about the herbs and other ingredients used to prepare thai dishes.
