The Qin Terracotta Army was built to be buried with the first emperor of Qin when he died. Chinese emperors usually began to built their tombs when he was still alive. Qin Shi Huang began to build his tomb soon after he became an emperor. It took about 40 years to finish the whole project. Why there are so many Terracotta Warriors and how they have been preserved in grave for thousands of years? What color is the Terracotta Warriors? Our professional guides will make an specific explanation to gratify your curiosity!It will take around 2.5 hours to appreciate there. You can take photos during free time.
Then go to visit the Chinese-style architecture combined with dozens of Buddhist historic statues and murals at Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is also a landmark of Xi'an city. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is widely renowned that Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka)had stored his classics here brought from India. (We won't go inside the pagoda,if you intend to climb the tower, there will be extra charge)
Xi'an Ancient City Wall , the only unique and intact city wall that has survived in China. It witness Xi'an's history through the years. It is massive and tall, stretching about 14 kilometers long.

The tour guide and driver are the best. I would highly recommend this tour. The private tour was well worth the few extra dollars. The tour and driver are excellent. The van was super nice and clean. They picked us up at our hotel right on time.
I'm sorry I took so long to send you a review, we have had a very busy few months since our return from China. We had a fantastic day with our guide Sunny ( or Sani?? not sure of the spelling). She was incredible! She really new her history and presented it in a way that our 10 yr old remained interested and focused throughout the whole tour. We actually didn't get to the Wild Goose Pagoda but that was completely our decision as the traffic was extremely busy that day and we would have been so late home. Xi'an was the 3rd out of 5 cities for us so our 10 yr old had already had many late nights and lots of long drives so we thought an earlier night was better for him. Sunny was the prefect guide and we'd like you to thank her for us once again. We would definitely recommend our friends to ask for her if they travel to Xi'an.
