Travelling by train is an unforgettable experience, and you will get to do so aboard the Jose Cuervo Express. The "sunset experience", the way from Guadalajara to Tequila will be by motorcoach and the return will be by Train. This tour take you to the Magica Town of Tequila, where a full day of activities is prepared for everyone. We begin with a visit to the agave landscape with a "Jima" time for take pictures. we continue to "La Rojeña" in tequila town, the oldest distillery factory in latin america. we will gather in the Jose cuervo auditorium for a mariachi music and entertainment presentation. On the train will be serve typical snacks and tequila cocktails. DO NOT BOOK WITH TRIPADVISOR!! I paid 2000 MXN more for Express class. Just book on the official website!! Also they put me on the last on the list, i sit logo at the end of the train!!!!
Truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable
This company robbed me. They requested a deposit of 16,000 pesos for excursions aboard the tequila train, the total amount was covered, and they promised to refund the deposit I had paid; more than six months passed, and they never refunded me. I contacted them numerous times, and they either left me on read or simply stopped responding. I went to their Facebook page to comment about it, and they blocked me and deleted my comments. It is unfortunate that a company like this tarnishes its reputation over such a small amount. I do not recommend them at all, as they are thieves, and I dealt with the owner the entire time, providing a terrible example of service to the tourism sector in the country.

El depósito en garantía inicial se solicitó debido a que el pago por parte de su agencia de origen en la Ciudad de México no se recibió a tiempo para asegurar los servicios de transportación que requirió para mover a su grupo y los accesos para el José Cuervo Express. Una vez que dicha agencia de origen regularizó el pago, usted solicitó mantener ese saldo a favor para programar una nueva fecha en el servicio José Cuervo Express. Tiempo después, al solicitar la cancelación de esta nueva reserva, se aplicaron las políticas correspondientes. A pesar de las restricciones de cancelación, nuestro equipo hizo una excepción para reembolsar el 50% del total como un primer pago acordado ya realizado hace tiempo. Respecto al porcentaje restante que se programó para pagarse de forma posterior, a este monto se descontaron los servicios de transportación utilizados en su grupo; servicios que usted se negó a liquidar a su agencia de origen bajo el argumento de que los pagaría directamente con nosotros. El saldo final a su favor tras dicho ajuste es de $200 USD o su equivalente en moneda nacional, los cuales estamos en total disposición de reembolsar. Lamentablemente, no hemos podido concretar esta última devolución debido a que usted decidió interrumpir la comunicación con nuestro equipo y bloquear nuestros canales oficiales de contacto. Es importante destacar que nuestro equipo siempre se ha conducido de manera estrictamente profesional y respetuosa hacia su persona, lamentando profundamente no haber recibido el mismo trato de su parte. Quedamos a su entera disposición a través de nuestro correo electrónico institucional para coordinar la devolución del saldo mencionado y dar por cerrado este asunto. Atentamente,

Great experience but 3 hours too long...
The José Cuervo Express tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The service was exceptional, the staff was warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about tequila and the history behind it. The entire experience felt organized, welcoming, and full of energy. The train itself is beautiful and comfortable, with excellent drinks and attention throughout the journey. The tour of the José Cuervo distillery was fascinating—informative, interactive, and full of unforgettable moments. We learned so much about the tequila-making process, from the agave fields to the final tasting. The tequila tastings were outstanding, and every drink we tried was top quality. The food provided during the experience was delicious and exceeded expectations. You can feel the pride and tradition in every detail of the tour. Overall, this is a must-do experience for anyone visiting Tequila or Guadalajara. Highly recommended for couples, families, and anyone who wants a unique and memorable cultural adventure. This is an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Guadalajara. There are two tours available; the sunrise or the sunset tour. Which means, basically, you will take the train either up to Tequila in the morning or take it back in the evening. The other way is by bus. I would recommend the sunset tour (taking the train back from Tequila only because I can't imagine drinking that much tequila on a train at 9 in the morning! We were taken by luxury bus in the morning straight to the agave fields and served a fantastic breakfast of tamales and tequila with grapefruit juice. We spent time in the fields learning about the harvesting of the plants before being bussed over to one of the processing plants for a tour of the facility and how the tequila is made. The Jose Cuervo complex in downtown Tequila is stunningly beautiful, the tour is informative (in English or Spanish) and you have time for a late lunch and brief walk about the old town in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon, they present a Mexican show with Mariachis and dancers which was very lively - probably due to the non-stop serving of tequila drinks, after which we were bussed over to the train station for the 2 hour ride back to Guadalajara. The train is beautiful, the hosts are amazing; friendly and funny, and the ride back includes drinks (of course), several courses of tapas and a Tequila taste testing. We upgraded to the premium package (worth it) and be prepared, because this is about a 12 hour excursion (pace yourself on the the tequila drinks to really enjoy the whole day!)
