Itinerary
Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Commonly referred to as the City of the Gods, this pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city is known for its well-preserved murals, vast Avenue of the Dead and the impressive pyramids that mark its landscape. Arrive at the archeological park before the crowds in the early morning just as it begins to open its gates. Take in the serene and mystical atmosphere as your group meanders through large empty plazas in the absence of the crowds and explore the pyramids. View the murals, architectural as your guide explains their archeological significance, and tells stories about the culture that inhabited this ancient city.
Once you’ve marveled at the pyramids of Teotihuacan, continue your journey with a stop at an authentic obsidian workshop. Learn how this volcanic stone has been worked for centuries, enjoy a tequila tasting, and perhaps take home a handcrafted memento.
Right there, you will take the lunch (not included in the price), which, by the variety of dishes and its Mexican traditional flavor, is in itself another great experience before your guide delivers you back to the central meeting points.

Excellent service! Excellent guides and people! The lunch was incredible! Learning with Antonio is amazing!
Wonderful experience, our guides Alex and Papa Toño were incredible, they gave us a day full of learning, knowledge, and joy... the food was delicious here.
Excellent attention, the timing, the guides, the food was excellent, and Mr. Antonio and Alex were excellent guides and hosts.
Antonio and Alex were incredible guides! The whole experience was amazing and smooth.
Very fast, the Sunrise. Good explanation from Salvador. You walk a lot; bring water, a cap, and comfortable shoes. On the way back, we got off in a central location due to a demonstration, but the guide informed everyone which lines could be used.
I was a bit skeptical about a bus tour, but it was fantastic! A very comfortable ride, great tour guide with so much useful information, and lots of time to walk around by ourselves. The site is fascinating and shockingly huge! I am so so glad we went!
When booking, the selling points of the tour included learning about the incredible site of Teotihuacan at sunrise, and afterwards be treated to a traditional Mexican meal. However, none of these things turned out to be exactly true. We arrived at the site as early as possible, which is 8am (over an hour after sunrise). While there were very few people there, the tour guide was equally light on information, explaining none of the site's fascinating history. Rather than explain anything about the original inhabitants of Teotihuacan, our guide waxed poetic about the power of semi-precious stones and easily-disproven tourist tales (i.e. describing the gimmick of worms in Mezcal, invented in the 1940s for marketing, as "traditional" and that consuming the worm would give "7 years of very good luck). When it came time to eat the included meal, I was informed only after partaking in the buffet that I was already given my lunch, a box of cold food which I could not eat as it disregarded the dietary restrictions I explained multiple times to the guide and preparers of the food in Spanish. The tour finishes with the guide taking you to "artisans", who place a sticker on you so they can give commission to the guide for the overpriced tchotchkes they sell (silver and semi-precious jewelry of far higher quality can be found in CDMX for less than half of the price). I would highly recommend avoiding this tour company, even if you speak no Spanish as the site is very accommodating to people who only speak English, and instead finding a friend with whom you can drive out to the site yourself. You will save a ton of time (the tour takes a whopping 8 hours when all activities including the drive can easily be done in 5 hours), a ton of money (you will know exactly what you are paying for), and a ton of frustration.
Alan, Gonzalo, and Gerson were in charge of our tour; it was a very varied tour with international people, and they were very well prepared in both English and Spanish so that everyone could understand. The experience was very beautiful and a lot of fun; I highly recommend it.
I was one hour late when I left. There was no prior explanation that the bag could not be brought to the tour. They needed to be ready to put water, batteries, valuables, etc. in small bags.
Excellent excursion. Everything was well planned. Thank you, Alex, for giving us a beautiful summary of Mexican history. Thank you, Alicia, for your care and attention. Five stars for you!!
