Temecula Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride

Description
Our pilots have the most experience and are part of a professional racing team. Our equipment features the latest safety innovations including doors in the basket for ease of access. Our tours are educational and entertaining. Our shared basket sizes are based on the number of guests booked, party sizes, and passenger weights. We have 14 different balloons in our fleet, all different sizes. You can't fly a balloon too heavy or too light. Both conditions would be unsafe. We have 14 different balloons in our flight, all different sizes. The space per person is always the same. The largest compartment size we have carries up to 7 guests. Each basket will have either 1 compartment (open basket), 2 compartments, or 4 compartments (partitioned basket).

It was a lot more than just a hot air, balloon ride pilot pointed some interesting facts out fun music. We stayed up a nice length of time. I highly recommend the ride with this company.
Beautiful experience. Our pilot Was calming and explained everything he was doing while laughing and landing. Only bad part were the clouds on our day, but it did feel like ping to heaven as we passed through the clouds.
Thank you for your Heavenly review Deborah. You are awesome!
Amazingly curated experience and well executed activity. We had a lot of fun as a family. The weather and the pilots were perfect
Thank you Ruchi. You were awesome!
I took my gf for Mother’s Day. It was romantic, and our pilot Deni was hilarious and knowledgeable. Would recommend for a romantic getaway.
Thank you Nestor. You were amazing! Remember that specialty package we discussed for your next visit!
We had an overall great experience, and the views were absolutely amazing. That said, there were a few details that could have been communicated more clearly. The “continental breakfast” ended up being a small bag of snacks that appeared to be from Costco, which was a bit disappointing compared to what we expected. We also paid extra for what was described as a more secluded, first-come, first-served balloon experience. However, when we arrived, there were already two balloons set up with smaller baskets holding about nine people each. Since our group had 18 people total, it seemed like the arrangement was predetermined, which made the “secluded” upgrade feel misleading—especially given the additional $35 per person. Additionally, the waiver gives the impression that the experience is limited to around four people, so it would be helpful if the company were more transparent about balloon sizes and group capacity ahead of time. Overall, the experience itself was beautiful, but clearer communication and more accurate descriptions would have made it much better.
Thank you for the kind words about the views — wine country from the sky never gets old! We appreciate detailed feedback and want to take a moment to clarify a few things for anyone reading this. Regarding the breakfast: our listing describes exactly what is provided — "a selection of individually wrapped breakfast items." This format is actually required by Riverside County Health Department regulations governing open-air, uninspected food service settings. We take food safety seriously and are proud to be fully compliant. We're sorry if your expectation didn't match the experience, but we do describe it accurately. On the upgrade: because your group upgraded, we actually brought out different balloon equipment specifically for your flight from our warehouse that morning — you were not placed in our standard 24-passenger balloon. The upgrade delivered exactly what was promised: a more exclusive, dedicated experience with different equipment than was initially scheduled. We'd also gently note that the passenger count you observed may not reflect the full picture of that morning's operation. Our shared basket rides require a minimum of 4 passengers to conduct the flight. It is not an indication to what the maximum number of passengers will be. We do offer private flights if you prefer a more intimate experience.
Beautiful “Bounty” balloon flown by pilot Phil was an amazing adventure and a dream come true! The entire operation from beginning to finish ran smoothly. Our flight was gorgeous above Temecula wine country.
Thank you Michele. You are AWESOME!
Great experience, was amazing balloon trip and the staff was very nice and nice the driver explain really well
Thank you very much Javier! You are awesome~!
Didn’t realize it was all by the wind if there’s not any wind, we really don’t go high. We just kind of float on the bottom. Everybody was nice. Everybody worked really hard, but I’ve had a better experience on a balloon in Colorado.
Hi Susan, Thank you for your review—we’re glad you felt well taken care of by our team. Balloon flights vary each day based on wind conditions, and while some balloons may reach different altitudes than others, your flight did reach over 3,000 feet. Even so, we understand how comparing experiences—especially from different locations, or just other balloons —can shape expectations. We appreciate you flying with us and hope to welcome you back for another flight and a different perspective. Best regards, Pilot Denni
What a great experience with an awesome and fun pilot. We had a very memorable experience for my wife’s birthday. Would absolutely do it again.
Thank you Jason. You are AWESOME!
Extra charge "fat tax" I am writing to express my significant disappointment regarding an additional $25 surcharge I was issued during my recent flight. The charge was applied because my individual weight exceeds 225 lbs. I find this policy to be both inconsistent and discriminatory for the following reasons: * Total Weight Capacity: Your safety guidelines state that the total weight limit for two people is 450 lbs. As a party of two, our combined weight is well under this 450 lb limit. * Arbitrary Individual Limits: Charging an individual based on their specific weight when the total load is within the "two-person" safety standard feels less like a safety requirement and more like a "fat tax." * Customer Experience: Being singled out and charged extra for my body type, despite meeting the collective weight requirements, is humiliating and poor business practice. I would like a refund of this $25 surcharge. I believe your pricing should be based on the total weight impact on the balloon's capacity rather than penalizing individuals who fall within the aggregate safety limits. Janet was the person demanding my 25 dallors making it clear im fat .in front of 30 other customers. Not cool my girlfriend was surprised as well I was embarrassed. I
Juan, Thank you for your review. I am sorry for the frustration and confusion regarding the $25 weight fuel surcharge on our shared basket flights. For our *shared basket* flights, the surcharge is a published part of the pricing terms and is applied *per individual passenger*, not based on the combined total weight of two passengers. It covers the extra fuel costs and space required. Because of that, the charge was correctly applied to your reservation. This surcharge was disclosed in multiple places before your flight: - On our direct booking page, where the pricing example shows a surcharge for an adult passenger over 225 lbs. - On the Viator listing for this tour, which states: *“Over weight limit $25 if greater than 225 lbs., $50 if greater than 255 lbs., $75 if greater than 300 lbs.”* - In the booking confirmation materials sent on *March 21 and March 22*, which state: *“A $25 weight surcharge may apply if an individual passenger weighs more than 225 lbs. This only applies to shared basket flights, not for private flight passengers.”* While I understand you believed the surcharge should be based on a combined couple weight, that is not how the shared-flight pricing policy is structured or disclosed, and it would be based on a much lower weight threshold, not 225 lbs. It is per person so that the space in the basket and the fuel used for the flight are within expected norms. The surcharge applies to the individual passenger threshold for shared basket bookings. While your intent is to harm our reputation by claiming falsely you had no forewarning of our policy, a diligent reader will understand the comfort and safety of ALL our guests is our primary concern. We do get grief for verifying the weights guests provide at time of booking are close to reality at check-in. Sorry you got caught by that reality check. Flying a balloon too heavy or too light are unsafe conditions. We take our weight and balance calculations and customer comfort very seriously.
