Firstly Ozzy and the driver were amazing vey welcoming and respectful. The meal was in a typical old style restaurant and was ok the food is basic as is the watered down red wine. We arrived above the clouds and saw a sunset which had beautiful colours. Then we waited for nearly 2 hours before the telescopes were set up. I saw Jupiter and that was it. The rest of the time you are literally stood looking at the stars yourselves. The telescopes there were 4 on tripods which you had to be very careful not to knock over on the dark. This is not suitable for elderly people or people who are unsteady on their feet the ground is volcanic rock extremely uneven and in the pitch black difficult to walk on . We paid €279 for this trip honestly save your money and do something else unless you like a long wait and have lots of patience and money to burn!
A truly magical evening under the stars at Teide. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, and the organisation was excellent. The night sky was simply stunning and made the whole experience unforgettable. Ozzy was especially brilliant, funny, quick-witted, and ironic in the best way. His humour made the evening relaxed, engaging, and great fun. Highly recommended for the whole family!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the magical evening at Teide and that the organisation and stargazing made it unforgettable. A special thanks for the kind words about Ozzy — his humour and passion truly make the experience shine. We hope to welcome you again soon!
An interesting, if very cold, evening. Highlight was seeing Jupiter and the Crab Nebula. Entertaining & knowledgable host. Highly recommended
Thank you for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the evening, especially spotting Jupiter and the Crab Nebula. It’s wonderful to know our host made the experience both entertaining and informative. Even with the chilly weather, we’re glad it was memorable, and we truly appreciate your recommendation!
We booked the star gazing for Saturday after seeing weather, however it was postponed on Sunday saying weather isn't good on Saturday. On Sunday we didn't see a single star because it was completely cloudy. Saturday was clear skies and we could have seen stars if it was done as we requested.
Thank you for your feedback. We truly understand your disappointment — it’s very frustrating when the weather doesn’t cooperate, especially for something as special as stargazing. Please note that we cannot control the weather, and safety regulations mean we must follow the official guidance of the rangers in Teide National Park when deciding whether a tour can go ahead. Even if skies may look clear in one area, conditions higher up can change quickly, which is why the tour was moved. Unfortunately, on Sunday the clouds did not clear as we had hoped. We are very sorry that you missed the stargazing experience and hope you’ll give us another opportunity in the future under better conditions.
Great overall. Food very hot, good and tasty. Wine & beer and water included. Mt Teide sunset excellent. Driver Enrique and tour guide Ellana very professional. Bit too much commentary with facts and figures, otherwise excellent. Good value.

The dinner provided was simple but fun. We enjoyed chatting with other tourists visiting and the lead guide did a nice job matching folks up by language groups so we could chat at the tables. Unfortunately, as we continued up after dinner, the bus broke down and we didn’t make it to the planned elevation and destination. I don’t think we even entered the national park. To their credit, the guides tried to salvage the experience by setting up telescopes and showing a few things at the location where the bus petered out … but the air quality was poor, the moon was bright, and the star gazing as a result of all of that was very unremarkable. Even some of the basic constellations were not fully visible. Ours was clearly not the normal experience for this excursion.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the dinner and the chance to meet other travelers, as well as the efforts of our guide to bring guests together by language. We sincerely apologize for the unexpected bus breakdown, which unfortunately prevented the group from reaching the planned destination inside Teide National Park. Our team did their best to adapt and set up telescopes at an alternative location, but as you mentioned, the bright moonlight and reduced air quality made the stargazing conditions far from ideal. You are absolutely right — this was not the normal experience of our excursion, and we regret that circumstances beyond our control affected your evening. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you will join us again in the future so we can provide you with the full, unforgettable experience as intended.
Really interesting tour which included watching the sunset with cava or gluwein 3 course dinner and then star gazing with telescopes and laser. Our guide Nico was very informative and amusing and our driver Alfonso navigated the steep and windy roads very well. To be recommended.

Cloud canopy was amazing! Celestial and other worldly!!! Dinner was decent- hung out w some German/Uzbekistan people so it was fun to use broken English and translate on our phones! The night sky was beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and into it! But. It was COLD. Long and cold. Spent like nearly 2 hours outside in 35* Fahrenheit with wind! Brrrr. Also, if you’re a female-bring tissues so you can pee in a bush !!! Seriously!!!

In advance, the Tenerife Stars tried very hard to find a way for me to get from Los Christianos to the hotel in Santa Cruz (distance 60km) in the evening and found an acceptable solution for me. They gave me huge applause. Our tour group (a large and a small bus) first drove to a bodega with typical Spanish food, people with intolerances or vegetarian and vegan eating habits were satisfied. I give it 3 points for that, it's mass processing. Our minibus guide and driver looked after us and drove us well. Stopover at sunset, good explanation from the guide, plenty of time to take enough photos and enjoy the sunset. Last stop then Teide National Park. Four large telescopes were available for the groups with the same star alignment. Well organized by the stargazer/explainer/guide. His enthusiasm for the stars was noticeable in his explanations. I hope that, as promised, pictures will be sent to the participants. The cell phone cameras can't do that or only partially. Stargazer, guide and driver 4 points If you only understand German, be sure to clarify beforehand. And absolutely important: take thick socks and gloves with you in addition to the thick jacket. It was 1 degree Celsius.
