We had a great experience with Angel. He kept us on track and very accommodating for all on the trip. We had a great tour and highly recommend.
Had good communication beforehand from our driver/guide Angel, and met him as instructed at clock tower near the cruise terminal. This was a small group of 8 in a large van (6 from same cruise ship). Angel was friendly, funny, chatty and very informative. We went to Mt. Teide first, a wise move to beat the crowds. Just know it's about a 45-min drive up a very curvy but smooth mountain road through the clouds then above clouds and tree line for blue sky views and amazing changes in terrain! Made a few stops at amazing overlooks then 1 hour at the park's coffee shop and museum area. Next another 45-min drive down the mountain by a different route, first to former capital and charming historic town of LaOrotava. We had 45 min free time there, then on to another historic town, LaLagunda near Santa Cruz, for 1 hour of free time. Driver was kind enough to drop us off at cruise shuttle bus to avoid a long walk with heavy packages. Total time 6.5 hr. It was an enjoyable day and great way to see some of the north, south, and central parts of this beautiful island. Note--water and lunch are not included but can be purchased at any of the stops.
Angel, our guide, taught us a lot about the formation of the island and its volcanoes. The scenery is amazing, but if you don’t like heights, this trip might not be for you. Our bus driver did an excellent job in navigating the curvy and narrow roads.
The excursion was very good. We really enjoyed it. We would like to let others know that the meeting point was not as close nor was it viewable from our ship, as the instructions indicated. This is due to the fact that our ship was not docked where other ships usually dock. We managed to find the clock tower, thankfully, with plenty of time to spare. Our guide, Angel, was awesome!
We loved our full day tour with Angel. He shared his knowledge and love of Tenerife with us and we enjoyed our day tour to the National Park, Orotava, and La Laguna from the cruise port.
Huge enthusiasm to visit Tenerife in a few days I will tell you about it on my way back, I travel alone, I will stay a few days in the north traveling on my own and visiting all Laguna, Orotava, the millennial tree. The Teide his ascension and again another day to the Teide to observe the stars. Then I will stay another week in the south of Tenerife in a resort and combine rest in Playa del Duque with some activities like whale and cetacean watching. Great!!!
Small group, interesting stops, beautiful scenery! It was a day well spent and a good way to get an overview of this island! Our guide was very nice and we really enjoyed this tour.
Super great trip. Anchel was the perfect driver/guide. He explained everything, responded to questions and took a lot of anger for us. All the points mentioned in the programme have been started. This tour is highly recommended for cruise passengers who want to see as much as possible during the short layover period.
Angel was a good guide who shared lots of facts particularly about the cultural aspects of Tennerife.
Angel is a friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate guide. The visit to the volcano is well worth the time.
