The show is excellent, the food is mediocre. Beforehand, they take you to have your picture taken with a couple of tango dancers, which they charge you for, of course; I found it annoying. People go to see the show, and that's it. The Brazilian audience turned out to be rude; not everyone, but there was one table that laughed and did not stop talking the entire time. Unbearable!
The show was good; however, the ticket purchase experience was not. I went to the Viator website and bought the tickets in Argentine pesos, but after completing the purchase, I realized that paying in Brazilian reais would have been much cheaper. I understand that exchange rates can fluctuate, but not to the extent of a 45% difference. This was my first and last experience with Viator, after all, who wouldn’t feel taken advantage of?
I really liked the experience, dinner was very good, the tango show was wonderful! Very good place, liked, recommend!
Little vocal technique, very fast music with fast-paced dance. Zero elegance or grace. Dancers in vulgar clothes. Not suitable for children.
It was a really cool atmosphere and a fun night. I didn’t love the costumes or choreography. Felt like They danced faster to make it look like they were more skilled and the costumes were borderline burlesque, but some people really like that. Those who had the food next to us, said the food was good.
Two things disappointed. The show started 40 minutes late (10:25 pm) and while the production values were high there was only a smallish amount of classical Tango dance. Much of the dancing was what can be described as athletic Broadway style. If that's what you are looking for you will be happy. We wanted more classical tango.
The show was great - orchestra, dancers and singers were wonderful. Theatre is a little hard to find
We’ve selected this particular show based on the following: we like Astor Piazzola, the venue is a historic theater and the location was in the center of Buenos Aires. The show was nice, but only one hour long. The performance included the tango AND individual singers 50/50. We were offered a very uncomfortable table where one of us supposed to face the stage, and another one faced the opposite direction. It was the right decision to buy only the show tickets and order drinks there. Took uber to our hotel since the area was not a lively one… Not fully satisfied, we vent to Tango Porteno which, in our opinion, was much more professional performance and a pleasant experience.
Luca, our guide was really helpful and thorough. He explained everything very well and helped us with restaurants and avoid tourist trap.
Not a good experience at all. Trip advisor did not give me the option to choose which tickets to buy, so we ended up with bad ones (to this point I’m not sure who assigns the seats?). The staff at theatre sat us at the very back where my view was instructed by a very tall and heavy patron. It took forever for the staff to take our food/drinks order The show was average. I would to be recommending it to any of my friends/relatives
