The crew is very experienced. We had some rough seas getting our snorkel spot. They handled the schooner with expert care. The lunch they prepared on board was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this experience!
Don’t forget your sun protections !! Very nice crew - could have drunk more than just a cup of Coca Cola for the whole day…be prepared to eat your lunch on the beach/sand
The weather is unpredictable in June. Plan it according to the closure of Tayrona Park. THE CREW WAS VERY FRIENDLY, WITH CLEAR EXPLANATIONS AND SUPPORTIVE.
I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking with this sailing service. I paid in full for a trip that never happened. They pointed to their refund policy to justify keeping half the payment, but that doesn’t reflect how the situation was actually handled. Their worker told me I could reschedule, then stopped responding completely. After waiting with no reply, I had to book with another operator. Only after that did the owner step in—first trying to claim I was unresponsive (which isn’t true), and then using the policy to justify keeping half the money. The issue isn’t the policy—it’s how they handled the situation. Poor communication put me in a position where I had to make other plans and still lost money. There are better, more reliable operators in Santa Marta.
First and most importantly, the tour did take place as scheduled. This was not a case of a trip being canceled or “not happening” — the experience operated normally with other guests who attended. You were offered the option to reschedule; however, rescheduling is never automatic and must be confirmed based on availability and done 24 hour before starting time as stated in cancellation policy. You contacted us 6am same day of tour. As a small operation with limited capacity and fixed departure times, we cannot guarantee last-minute changes or hold spaces without confirmation. Regarding communication, while we always aim to respond promptly, there can be short delays while our team is actively running trips at sea. There was no intention to stop responding, but we acknowledge that timing may not have aligned with your expectations. It’s also important to explain why our policies are in place. When a booking is made, that space is reserved exclusively. If guests were able to freely cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of departure, those spots would almost always go empty, as they cannot be filled on short notice. This would make it impossible to operate trips sustainably. For this reason, our policies — which are clearly agreed to at the time of booking — are standard across the industry. Since the tour operated and your reserved space could not be resold, the booking remained subject to those terms when you chose to make alternative arrangements before a reschedule was confirmed. We understand the frustration, but we want to be clear that this was not a case of a service not being provided — rather, it was a missed departure, and the situation was handled in accordance with the agreed policy.
Kind crew, beautiful views and beach, delicious lunch. Overall lovely experience, would definitely book again
A rather pleasant trip, deserving for those who wish to enjoy the beauty offered by the Colombian Caribbean
Very professional and friendly crew. We enjoyed the sail, beach, and snorkeling. Lunch was delicious! Definitely recommend!
First confusion was to get in the Marina, meeting point was at the right side of marina where the shops are, past shops you get to a Terminal which required a code/QR code, which was sent by operator via WhatsApp, which I did received but took while to download (I was using free Tmobile 4G data oversea plan). Terminal has bathroom and a beach shop with sundry and snacks. Trip was expected, on a sailboat but using motor power, but did opened jib (second sail) during a trip back. Took 45-60 min to Concha site seeing islands, past isle de la Aguja (large locky island to left as you sail), you will see lots of rock and cave formation on both side, then the waves got really rough, which was a fun boating experience. Once at the beach, boat anchor about 100 feet off shore, you can swim or take small dinghy to the beach. Beach has various shaded areas, was clean, water was clean and clear, but after 10 feet or so, it drops sharply. Lunch (fried fish with rice) was very good, I don't enjoy fish but enjoyed it very much. Tour operator had couple SUPs to use, also used dinghy to take you to nearby rocky area for snorkel. Although, tour operator didn't speak English well, they were very friendly and tried to talk to you and tell you about the area. (*I realized most folks didn't speak English unlike Mexico or various Caribbean area) Overall, it was a nice experience to get a small taste of Tayrona Park beaches.
Spent about 1.5 hours on the boat to there and about 2 hours back. 3.5 hours there on the beach. Nothing special but relaxing. I thought Tayrona would be more interesting. The staff was nice.
Absolutely rate this tour. It was a magical day, everything was perfect. The staff had fantastic communication from booking to saying goodbye on the day. The crew were really cool, attentive, respectful and just overall legends. The beach was gorgeous, you can use their snorkel gear and stand up paddle board. They have a smaller boat to transport you to land. These guys were alot cheaper than other companies and were fantastic!
