Full-day trip to three southern regions of Armenia: Ararat, Vayots Dzor and Syunik. The first stop will be at Khor Virap Monastery in Ararat Valley. Here the Christian history of Armenia commenced in early 4-th century. Except the monastery you will also visit the underground dungeon, where St Gregory the Illuminator was kept for 13 years. The vista point here has one of the best views to mount Ararat. You will continue the way to the picturesque Gnishik canyon and reach Noravank Monastery surrounded by red rocks. Later you will have your lunch in an authentic restaurant near Arpa river and continue the way to the main destination of the day – medieval Monastery of Tatev. From Halidzor village you will take the longest ropeway in the world and fly there over Vorotan gorge. Duration: 13-14 hours Total distance: 520 km

The medieval monastery is located in the red canyon of Gnishik river. Here every visitor can feel the harmonious relationship between architecture and the nature.
Flight over Vorotan gorge by the longest cable-car in the world. It takes 15 minutes to reach the other side of the canyon at a distance of 5.5km. The price for the ticket varies during the year .
The main destination of the day – medieval Monastery of Tatev on the other side of Vorotan Gorge.

It was an amazing tour. Comfortable car, an exceptionally amazing guide who took us to all the places in the package and breathtaking views. This private tour was all we wanted and expected from our trip to Armenia. Especially the journey, snow covered mountains, snow steams and cold winds made it much more memorable. Gor was our driver-cum- guide and he is a gem of a person. We talked all through our journey of 12-13 hours knowing about all what this tour and Armenia has to offer. Associate was great and cooperative but many commitments made in the booking list was news to him. Like food and drinks included, free WiFi etc. We had to pay for food and drinks. It is very frustrating to tell him that these are your inclusions and them see a doubtful face. I would never recommend Viator.
