Taste of Waiheke Food and Wine Tour

Everything was perfect. The women that is the tour guide and driver at the same time is very attention and very kind . The places we visited and tasted the wines as very good and the island is beautiful !

It was great (easy!) way to get out of Auckland for the day, especially as a solo traveler! Waiheke is a beautiful island, and this tour helps you to experience it easily. We had a delicious olive oil tasting, an incredible lunch, and 2 wine tastings, all surrounded by the beautiful views of the island. (Our tour guide Simon was fantastic - a local with lots of fun facts and helpful information!)

Let me say for the record the tour itself was fine. Three vineyards with lovely wine, lunch and an olive oil tasting. However the operators are by far the worst communicators. There’s a meeting point at Auckland pier where you meet NO ONE! There’s no one there. No communication or anything. So you expect to meet your tour guide at the meeting point but no. Then you contact them directly to ask where the guide is and they say buy a ticket and get on the ferry and meet your guide on waiheke island. So the meeting point is NOT in Auckland at all! Three others who were supposed to be on the tour today missed it or came late because this is not stated at all! So I take the ferry and meet the driver and go on the tour everything is fine. Then he drops us off and is like good luck getting home, well I beg your finest of pardons but it clearly states return ferry ticket included. But no, so I paid them to provide a ferry ticket and paid for it again myself. There are other tour operators other than this one but if you’re ok with no instructions, misleading meeting points, and paying for something they promise that you don’t receive then this is the tour for you!

We recently had the pleasure of being part of the Taste of Waiheke wine tour with a great guide... Pani. He was funny and informative and great at keeping the tour moving and safe. The choice of places we visited all had great hosts and a nice selection for the tastings to enjoy.

Great experience. Only complaint is I had trouble scanning my ticket when getting on the ferry both times. Was told it's in a different format. Please get this fixed. Otherwise it was great.

Mostly a nice day but way too rushed. Lunch was too long and the food terrible.. the best winery and wines are last and you are barely there 30 min. So disappointing. The wineries you go to are great, but just not enough time. Tour very overpriced for what it was. When I go back I’ll just book the hop on hop off bus next time. Guide Kai was great, and her commentary fantastic though.

Wines were not too good. Driver was excellent. Olive oil tasting was great and lunch was very good overall good not great

One word Spectacular! What a beautiful island, each winery had amazing views and the lunch at Batch was amazing. I would recommend this even just for the tour of the island, but when you add in the olive oil tasting, lunch, and wine tastings it is a must do!

This tour was a great experience. The ferry ride views were stunning - able to view Auckland's harbour in all directions not to mention being greeted with OJ & Sparkling Wine!. The visit to three wineries was a plus with our fave being Mudbrick - absolutely gorgeous grounds and views were amazing. Darwin gave a lovely wine presentation. Our driver was well versed in all things Waiheke. The meal at Batch Winery was superb - wasn't expecting a full course dinner but it was very nice. Lovely grounds and stunning views too! Highly recommend.!
