Located just steps from the iconic Obelisk on 9 de Julio Avenue, Tango Porteño is a beautifully restored former movie theater that captures spirit of Argentina’s most iconic dance. For those who choose the optional tango lesson, professional dancers will guide you through the basic steps of this passionate dance. In just one hour, you’ll gain insight into the art of tango in a fun and welcoming environment. After the class, you'll move to the elegant main salon. Guests who selected the dinner option will be treated to a delicious three-course meal, featuring a variety of Argentine and international dishes. At 10:00 PM, the lights dim and the tango show begins. Prepare to be captivated by world-class dancers performing on a grand stage, accompanied by powerful live music and mesmerizing vocals. The detailed set design and costumes transport you to the golden age of tango—when the rhythm of Buenos Aires pulsed with elegance, drama, and emotion.

It's complex not knowing where you'll have the seats and the view in some places to very uncomfortable... I should have the option to buy or choose the location

It was simply amazing. The dancing and the entire show was first class. We chose show with preferred seating and drinks. Seats near the front and as much to drink as you want.

Definitely take the Tango lessons before the show! So fun! And Candela and Fabrizio were our instructors and they did an amazing job. They also performed in the show and were great dancers! If I had to give an criticism, the food was only OK. The servers were great but out of all the places we've eaten in Buenos Aires, this one fell short. I would still very much recommend this experience though!
The tango lesson before the dinner was the best, very interactive and amazing. The platea dinner was good but the waiver missed our order so we need to wait for a while to receive our entres and main plate. The chair are not very confortable for dinner and more less to see the tango show. The tango show is excellent for dancers and duration
Entertaining show with brilliant tango,s. We had VIP tickets so had good seats. Good food with excellent steak. Transfer was on time and efficient.
The tango show itself is amazing. The tour operator picked me up 1 hour late. I encourage you to see the show at Tango Porteño but cannot recommend this tour company .
Both the dinner and tango dancing performances were excellent. A comfortable shuttle easily picked up my family and I from our hotel to the theater and back. We were impressed with the delicious 3 course meal, table service, dancing and live music. The experience was the highlight of our family's visit to Buenos Aires and I highly recommend this show.
