We expected a 2 hour show. It was only a little over an hour. We ordered a cheese plate which took long. The staff tried to charge us for silverware!! When the show ended we were rushed to finish and leave although we still had wine and food to finish. The show was pretty good, just very short.
Found the experience fantastic. Great show. Huge 3 course meal included with Argentinian local dishes but plenty of choices available. Transport was provided but WAS NOT on the classic bus. This was disappointing as we chose this tour for the classic bus. Would have been 5/5 if we had the advertised bus.
The dancing and music were amazing. The service and food? Horrible. The cast deserves mega props on their talent and dedication to their craft. The food was average at best, the wine was no bueno and we saw our waiter twice (once to take our order and once to drop off a tip wallet) and he was quite rude. Please go if you value the entertainment and beautiful dancing. If you want a good meal, go somewhere else.
Fabulous night from start to finish! The retro bus was great, bang on time at our hotel. Good meal at Aljibe including a bottle of wine between 2. Apéritifs extra. Very enjoyable show. Overall would recommend.
We booked the transfer, dinner, & show. The show included the term “folklore” so I was expecting some historical background and explanation during the show about tango, the bolos, musical instruments, etc. but there was none. The meal was good, but I cannot say it was gourmet. The waiters are frequently talking during the show and running back and forth in front of the audience during the show. They spend a good amount of time in the way explaining that the tip is not included, and to put it in the folder that is placed on your table. There was not as much tango as I would have liked although the dancers were good. It appears that many dancers & musicians have been with the show for a very long time. In all, I left disappointed and would prefer to go to a less touristic venue and performance.
This was one of the earlier shows, with a pick up at 6:30pm. Dinner was at 7:30 and the show started about 8:30. Most other places don't start dinner until much later, past 9pm. The earlier times suited us fine. The food was so-so but the show was very nice - good dancing 💃 and singing.
We opted for the full experience with the beautiful classic bus transfer, dinner and show. None of it disappointed, we travelled in style from the hotel, had a substantial dinner with wine and enjoyed a show that included music, singing and dancing. Aside from the tango, which was stunning, the gaucho performance was fast, furious and exciting. The singer's beautiful voice and the accompanying 4 piece band with lead accordion player, really made it a worthwhile experience.
Complete confusion with our tickets, shuffling us around (downstairs, then upstairs, then downstairs) and trying to push us off to the venue next door. Wasted 1/2 hour of our time - by then the show was full so they tried to push us to the 9:30 show. As we refused they finally sat us at the table front and centre (worst table which is why it was available). Because they wasted so much time seating us, the steak dinner came in the middle of the performance so watching the show and eating was impossible. To top it off the steak was so dry it was inedible. Other people we spoke to there had purchased their tickets directly through the venue and had no problems - obviously they have a problem with 3rd party purchasers The show was okay - saw much better dancers the next day elsewhere.
When the tour provider contacted me at the last moment to move the Tango-Dinner show to Michel Angelo and told be that the classic bus transport I had booked was not available, I was a little disappointed, but went along with it. But my worries quickly went away at the activity. The Tango show at Michel Angelo was excellent. The passion with which the performers danced to, sang and played the tango music, really motivated me. Enjoyed the show thoroughly. I figured that the food was probably going to be so-so at best, but again I was wrong. The quality of my meal was very good and surpassed my expectancy. Would recommend Michel Angelo Tango to others who wish to explore the magic of tango and a good bite of the local cuisine. Buen trabajo.
We were collected from the hotel with an old style bus, great driver and transfer. The food and entertainment was a fantastic experience.
