Tangier Kasbah (fortress) is a historic fortified citadel built on the highest point of the city, offering panoramic views over Gibraltar strait and the Medina (old city). It was occupied by the Portuguese for 190 years 14-17th centuries, then British for a short time 22 years in 17th century, the Kasbah was one of the most strategic points of Tangier and Morocco. This is where we’ll enjoy all historic walls and alleyways and have some breathtaking photos opportunities.
With the personal assistance and expertise of your local tour guide spend much more comfortable time in The Medina, old town, historically known as the heart of the city, used for business and social activities. This part is very rich with history, culture and good atmosphere. Have some free time for shopping and enjoy some local drinks and restaurants. We just finished an incredible private tour of Tangier with our guide, Jamal, and our driver, Hafid. They were on time and picked us up from our hotel. Being a private tour, Jamal took time to listen to our interests and designed the tour to our likings. Jamal was a fantastic guide who truly showed us the best parts of this beautiful city. He took us to all the major highlights, as well as some wonderful shops and a great local spot for lunch. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and kind. This was a 5-star experience, and we are so glad we did it!

We had a lovely morning walking tour of Tangier with Saeed in April 2026. He is super friendly and knowledgeable and loves to share the history of his town with visitors, whom he treats like guests/friends. His English is perfect and his walking/talking pace was just right - we got to see lots of the kasbah/medina and even stopped for a lovely tea/coffee break in the 9 April square. We highly recommend Saeed for any tour in Morocco!

Great tour but lots of steps uphill and downhill. Not suitabke for anyone with walking problems. Said was very knowledgeable and helpful on history of Tangier.
