I did a 3 night/4 day eco tour package with them and I am very impressed with how professional, safe and organized they were. To give you a little background about me: I’m a tour operator in Hawaii, USA and a world traveler so I have extensive experience in this industry, and high standards. Our days were filled with nature activities involving paddling, swimming, jumping off rocks, visiting gardens, and trying local foods. All the guides we had the pleasure to meet were exceptional; Toño 💕😎Jorge, Ricardo #1 and #2. They work in a team to ensure everyone is safe, and having fun at all times. Every night the office sent us a detailed text to let us know about our next day adventures. The guides were always on time. The price for what you get is in my opinion of great value. Do get ready to get wet. Get yourself a good pair of hiking water sandals. Remember to tip your guides generously. They work for that, do an amazing job with a smile and deserve it! Thank you Huaxteca.com for an unforgettable 4 days of adventure. 🙏🏼✨🤗❤️🤙🏼
Very father the tour, consider that if everything you take to the boat gets wet.
It was an incredible experience to know one of the most iconic places of the huasteca potosina and the hand of an excellent guide, Xanha, who accompanied us at each moment making this experience the best I have had
A great experience: 1) Paddling 4 km upriver in a pangas (traditional long, narrow wooden boat). The current isn’t very strong, except at one location where it is necessary to exit the pangas so the guide and boat guide can pull it past some rapids, 2) the waterfall itself: spectacular. A large rock in the middle of the river is the perfect vantage point to photograph the falls (good footwear is essential as the rock can be slippery and has uneven surfaces), 3) the boat ride down river, where riding through the mild rapids is exhilarating, 4) a swim in a cave/cenote, with a very comfortable water temperature (note: it is mandatory to wear a life jacket while swimming), and 5) an excellent lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Ciudad Valles. Beautiful scenery along the river: multiple smaller waterfalls, cliffs, cacti, and interesting rock formations caused by water erosion. My only complaint: the tour was described as Spanish and English. 85% of the commentary was in Spanish. In my experience, on bilingual tours, commentary and questions/answers are made in both languages, so everyone is able to participate and understand to the same degree. Not the case here. Not a huge issue, but it would have been nice to better understand some of the guide’s observations and commentary.
Very nice, excellent to spend with family and learn more about our nature. Super recommended, next year I will return
An excellent family experience and the guide Xhana very friendly and attentive at all times, I definitely recommend as they are an excellent choice
Great experience with supportive and communicative guides. The food afterwards was delicious aswell. + there are changing rooms + make sure to bring clothes and shoes that can get wet + bring a waterproof-case for your Smartphone if you really want to take it with you
We had an amazing experience with th guides Shanha and Jorge and all the other guests taking part in the tour. It is a once in a lifetime experience although I would consider doing it again. :-) It was a lot of fun with all the people joining us, thanks for taking care of us and offering us this special experience. It was well organized and the food offered was amazing. Thank you!
Experiencing the stunning nature of the Huasteca Potosina with fantastic guides (Shoutout to Shanha & Jorge). Overall just a great experience.
A very good experience, the guides were very prepared and all were very friendly. They helped us solve some problems we had in the beginning. Loved traveling with them
