Itinerary
Visiting or staying in Tampa, fantastic we're only 15 minutes from wherever life has taken you. Let's go fishing and boating!
Your local Tampa charter captain will meet you at Gandy boat ramp by the docks. There is ample parking with restrooms. Your captain will help you board and go over the days itinerary with you. When your trip duration is over, the captain will bring you back to the same departure location. Based on the length of your trip and season, we may go by the following locations.
We launch into Old Tampa Bay, a side cove of the main Tampa Bay. Spawning time and during cycles of species during the season this bay is a great place to fish.
From Old Tampa Bay we enter into the main Tampa Bay. This is the main flow of water that dumps into the Gulf of Mexico. The bay is spectacular to fish as many species of fish migrate here from the Ocean.
On our way out of the Tampa Bay on the right is the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park. A very popular local fishing spot for land anglers.
A popular state park again on our right, which has campgrounds, camping store, including a welcome center which we can access from waters edge if desired.
If we continue, we run through Passage Key Inlet. A popular inlet during the Tarpon season.

My partner and I came down to Tampa Bay for the week. And she wanted to try sea fishing (she had never been on a boat before); there were only 2 days that we had a break in the weather to get out. I spoke to Captain Michael on the phone the night before, and he was happy to go out, weather depending. So we turned up early in the morning for our 4-hour trip. We both caught plenty of snook, barracuda, grouper, shark, mangrove snapper, yellowtail, and jack crevalle. Honestly, I can't recommend this company enough for your first boat trip; the fishing is great, and I couldn't ask for a better captain. We will definitely be using this charter and boat for our future trips. If you want a nice relaxed trip catching plenty of fish, then Michael is definitely your man.
That’s one way to introduce someone to fishing—go big on the first trip! 😄 Sounds like Captain Michael made it easy, fun, and action-packed from start to finish. Plenty of species and plenty of smiles is exactly what we aim for. Really appreciate the recommendation—we’ll be ready for your next trip 🎣
My boy and I had a wonderful father-son first fishing trip with Cpt. Chris, who was a consummate gentleman and professional. He took care of all the particulars and with his expertise my boy hooked a hammerhead shark on the first cast! We explored the beautiful bay and had dolphins and manatees swimming next to the boat as we fished.
Thank you so much! It was an absolute pleasure sharing that special father-son trip with you both. Seeing your boy hook a hammerhead on the first cast was unforgettable! The dolphins and manatees were just the icing on the cake. I’m so glad I could be part of such a memorable day on the water!
Great experience, my family had fun so I’m happy. Captain was very friendly and helpful. Great for beginners or expert fishermen.
Thanks so much for spending the day with us !
Nick was great, very helpful and patient. I would definitely do this tour again and certainly recommend our captain
Hi Mario. Thank you for spending the day with us. We appreciate the kind words!
Great trip caught a ton of fish! Wonderful guide! Nailed some big fish. Give nick a call he will put you on the fish!
So happy to hear your trip was a success and was lots of fun
We decided on a last-minute fishing trip. Choose Tampa Florida Fishing because they had an online booking and we were doing this last-minute late at night. We arrived, the Captain was waiting and did a great job of putting us on the fish. Caught many good fish and was very knowledgeable about the local area and offered up several suggestions. Highly suggest, will use them on the next trip to Tampa!
Thanks, John and it was great to have you on board. We appreciate your review and look forward to the next time we can fish together!
