Regardless of whether you are coming to Japan for the first time, or you’re an obsessed Japan lover, this intimate, private tour will be a unique experience to enhance your treasured memories in Japan. You will be taken to the Japan's most beautiful places, guided by a local English-speaking professional photographer. During the tour I will capture your magical moments, leaving you free to take in the sights without worrying about the best angles and light, or asking a stranger to take your picture! I am experienced in portrait and travel street photography, and my work has been published in many magazines, guidebooks including Lonely Planet and the city guides of tourism boards. A day out with me ensure you will have a knowledgeable, funny, local professional photographer, and Insta-worthy travel photos will be guaranteed!

Itinerary
Takayama Jinya was where 25 generations of provincial governor/magistrate performed their official duties relating to administration, policing and justice to rule Hida under the Shogunate over 176 years from 1692 (when Hida Province was put under the direct rule of the Edo Shogunate) to 1868.
Takayama's old town has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating from the Edo Period (1600-1868) especially the Sannomachi Street, survives in a particularly pretty state with many old homes, shops, coffee houses and sake breweries, some of which have been in business for centuries.
World famous Shirakawago is a must see in Japan. You will feel like you are doing a time travel here. Japanese old tradition and unique Gassho zukuri houses still exist here. Photo shoot session by a professional photographer to capture your travel memories.
Visit Wada house to see inside the Gassho zukuri house and be impressed by the architectural details of the unique house.
Enjoy the stunning view of Shirakawago village. 10mins walking up hill due to the car park closure until further notice.

Pick up in Kanazawa/Takayama/Toyama. Drop off details required for oneway itinerary between Takayama and Kanazawa/Toyama (tour duration 6-7hours). Return trip from Takayama or Toyama - additional 13,000yen per group to be paid upon pick up. Max 7 people(recommend for 5 adults 2 children). Child seat to be provided for under the age of 5 so please let us know in advance.

TK was our guide and photographer to Shirakawa-go & Takayama for a day. It started with him picking us up at our hotel punctually in a very comfortable vehicle. His driving was smooth & safe. He certainly is a very experienced photographer who knows all the best spots to capture beautiful shots. The poses he suggested also looked very natural in the photos and we love all the photos he took of my family. He is very pleasant to talk to and since we enjoyed his company, we also invited him to have lunch with us. We absolutely enjoyed the Hida beef restaurant he recommended! Thanks to TK we have the photos he took to remind us of the wonderful trip.

We had an incredible day with Takatoshi-san, who was both an excellent tour guide and a skilled photographer, making the trip seamless and memorable. We went to Shirakawago in the morning, had lunch at a very nice Ramen shop in Takayama (Takatoshi-san's recommendation) and spent the afternoon wandering around the Old town of Takayama. Takatoshi-san really knew all the best photo spots and he took stunning pictures for us. Friendly, helpful, and professional, he truly went above and beyond to make our day special. Highly recommend this tour!

I completed the Takayama and Shirakawago tour with TK. I was going to propose to my girlfriend during the photo shoot, but TK was very supportive of the plan and the choice of the spot. We had a great day exploring these beautiful places with TK whilst creating some gorgeous family photos. TK made the whole experience easy from booking to receiving the images very promptly. TK was patient and punctual. His English was excellent, and so too the photos he took. The days seemed so smooth and effortless: the pick up, drive there, casual and unhurried tour and photo shoot, free time and then lunch. Takayama and Shirakawago are beautiful spots to visit.

TK was our.tour guide and photographer formour day trip to Takayama and Shirakawago. His knowledge was great and we learnt a lot about each of the areas we visited. We are also usually very fussy about our photographs, but when we received the photos he took we loved them all. They were great. We would highly recommend him for both a tour and as a photographer.
