This trek is worth your time. Although it isn't possible to hike on the volcano any longer, the boat ride along the shore is really fun. Prepare to be a little wet. The view from the People's Park is spectacular. We also appreciated stops along the way for a vast array of fruit and Buko Pie. Our guide Gerald was extremely personable, and we were especially appreciative of the added side trip to a chapel in a local village here people could worship in a very natural setting formed by a rock amphitheater.
It was a great experience seeing unique places and different experiences. It was amazing to see the local communities the food and way of life.
Took my money but cancelled my tour
Gerald was an incredible tour guide! He was kind, punctual, and went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. I had the pleasure of joining him on several tours in September 2024 and again in March 2025, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful experiences he provided.
